This is far more of a sideways thumb more indicating that its mostly playable, but there's better options out there. You take on the role of Samantha Peter's journalist extraordinaire... beautiful, smart, not very humble and absolutely insufferable. I think they were going for the cutesy rom-com girl and may have hit the mark because I could not connect with her. Your introduction to the character is that she decides to abandon her friend and adventure partner on an island with an exploding volcano because "He's a man and he should be doing the rescuing." She's selfish, egotistical and her one liners tended to miss the mark for me. The story itself was passable with some interesting twists. I don't want to cover many details due to the genre, but it is a really short game probably taking 2-3 hours max but the narrative tends to flow pretty well and the payoff was enjoyable enough. About my only complaint was an unusual and out of place choice at the ending. I've had no choices ...

I can't and don't recommend this game, mainly for my friends who love P&C adventure games. Average play time about 2 hours- can easily complete the game in 1 hour. At a price point of 10$ it isn't worth it at all. It's been 11 years since I got the game but I got it on sale.
This is not an actual "SF" game.
This is just a story to explain what happened to Sam after the events that took place during SF2. So if you want to know what happened to Sam then go for it. That's all this game is, and even then this could've been done a lot better. They could've just added a short video or story to the end of SF3 to show what happened to Sam. This is a very short game, can be done in about an hour honestly, my playthrough today was 1 hour 14 minutes. Last time I played this was in 2014 and decided to replay again to leave a review. There really isn't much in this game either, the puzzles are extremely simple minus the cave at the end. This game is just extremely dull. With P&C gam...
Very short game, in the style of Secret Files trilogy... and honestly I enjoyed playing it it more then Secret Files 3.
