Honestly, this game has one of the best gameplay even compared to classic jRPG games. Battle system is strategically deep and very engaging, and team-building is also very rich. Seriously, kudos to the devs. You get full heal after every battle, and the encounter works like in Chrono Trigger, but no respawn (you can just do sim battle to grind but no need really). So, it means each individual battle lasts longer and is more challenging. Overall, it’s definitely on a more challenging side strategically. The story gives a great sense of exploration with us learning the lore as the plot progresses. The plot itself is pretty fun too. The only main downside to the game is that, despite characters’ personality that came through well, the characters lack depth compared to more classic jRPGs. The visuals are quite pretty as you can see. Soundtracks are more on a mediocre side for me though

Not very complicated, but enjoyable. Plenty of funny commentary, and references make the story enjoyable. Word of advice: You get all HP back at the end of battle, and you have no MP, and your special attacks, or "programs" recharge after a fight, so feel free to use all your abilities in battle.
If you're a fan of the dev's other work, you will like this game as well. If you're not familiar, this is a retro styled RPG, nothing groundbreaking, but still pretty good. Bought it because of their "Cthulhu" games, and have no regrets playing this one.
Didn't realise I had this on Steam but played a bit on Switch and considering it's not particularly my type of game, I really enjoyed what I played. The art is nice and the overall vibe is there. It was a pretty fun game for such a low price.
Game has some rough edges, but I still enjoyed it. Though not being able to go back after the last dungeon is a throwback that can live in gaming history, in my opinion. Otherwise the game has a lot character and style to be enjoyed by retro gamers.
If you have ever played anything by Zeboyd games, you know what you're getting into with this one. It's everything that you might have enjoyed from the previous games, but with a lot more budget behind it. I think it's easily their most complete game and their best that I've played. The soundtrack sounds great. There are plenty of songs that I'll be listening even after finishing the game. The art is the same pixel style that they have used before, but with a lot more detail and with classic snes style cinematics. These really bring the game together and gives off a more serious tone to the story. That doesn't mean that they dropped the comedy. The game is still very funny. They are just a lot more reserved this time as the game feels like it's trying to be a game that we would have fond memories of if it had been released on the snes when we were kids. The combat is always evolving, both from game to game and within the games themselves and this title is no different. There are a l...
Crank this game all the way up to the highest difficulty. It is worth it. Great, short game with a rewarding challenge.
