My first entry in the WRC series, I really enjoyed it, but due to lazy developers not removing the 6 achievements that are no longer obtainable because they require a server connection, I can't recommend this game.
WRC 4 – First-Time Player Review
This is my first WRC 4 game ever. I actually bought it along with WRC 5 for the jaw-dropping price of $0.86 total (seriously, that’s cheaper than a bottle of water), so I figured I’d start with this one. Tested on:

Asus Vivobook 15
i3-1115G4
8GB 3200MHz DDR4

First Impressions
The online servers are long gone, but the game still tries to connect before letting you into the main menu. On my 5GHz Wi-Fi and decent ISP, the delay is just a few seconds, but I’ve read some people wait up to 10 minutes. That’s basically enough time to boil noodles and come back.

Performance
With every setting at rock bottom (via the external launcher — no in-game graphics menu) and running at 720p, I get almost 60 FPS. But the stuttering makes scanning the road ahead tricky, so I turned on V-Sync. That locked me at 30–45 FPS, which is fine for me.

Menus
Definitely f...

The game is fun, but it does have some issues. There’s a recurring “connecting to server” error, and after finishing a race, the loading screen sometimes gets stuck. I waited for 5–10 minutes for it to take me back to the menu, but it never did—I had to force restart the game. It also doesn’t let me upload my stats—it throws an error. It’s definitely enjoyable, but I’d recommend picking it up on sale for a couple of bucks. It has its problems, yet I still had a good time playing.
