I'm sure others have voiced this before me, but I'm going to say my peace anyway. This game was pointless. Bottom line. It served no purpose to push our beloved characters forward, it had no narrative that spoke to a deeper meaning in anything. It was murder porn for the sake of being murder porn. Abby is forced into our hands
as she is plotting to get revenge on Joel and we literally play her for the first time as she starts her final leg towards her goal of killing Joel.
. There is no cause, no build up, no connection prior to it happening, it just...happens. And then we are supposed to care about her and what she is going through after that? Get outta here. Ellie was just a mess from start to finish. Almost as if she wasn't the same character but looked and sounded just like her. Her Overall Quest was pointless to begin with
and actually made Tommy, the one who kept trying to be the voice of reason through 2 games, come across as bein...

User Reviews
I felt the Last of Us part 1 and 2 on grounded difficulty are extremely good at making you feel the threat that is posed by it's world. There's no hud, no health indicator and the enemies are really competent. They will flank you and try to flush you out of your position. Many times I've had one guy covering my position while another makes an approach so if I try to shoot out of cover, they will kill me. That's the closest feeling of being hunted that I've gotten out of a game ever.
Set several years after the original game, the story centers on Ellie as she embarks on a deeply personal journey driven by grief and vengeance. Her path inevitably intersecting with Abby, a soldier connected to a past devastating event. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3542724134 This game doesnt just pull at your emotions, it rips them out and hands them back to you in pieces. This is emotional storytelling at its sharpest, not just sad for the sake of being sad. The characters are flawed, real and sometimes make choices that make you furious. And thats exactly the point. Youre not just watching a story unfold, its dragging you into it. Forced to sit with the consequences and question what justice and revenge really mean. There were a moments I had to pause the game and walk away. Not because of difficulty, but because of what it made me feel. Rage. Grief. Betrayal. That level of emotional impact is rare in games and it sticks with you long afte...
the game is fine in my opinion. not nearly as gripping as the first one tho. did not make me as emotionally invested in it like the first one did. combat is a little bit more versatile but still pretty much the same. maps are more open and offer some choice to the player on how to play and approach the game. part 1 i could play over and over again but this one dragged a little bit even on my first playthrough. first game i would say is 5/5, this one 3.5/5.
my favorite game and the best series. With no return, chronological mode and modifiers their is lots of replayability, Also the achievements are pretty fun to get, some are definitely a bit tough.
relentless and devastating. a bold story of revenge and morality
So far, after all the great reviews on this game, I am severely disappointed. This game is on rails, there is absolutely nothing unique about a campaign. I might as well have subscribed to HBO and watched the series. Even with a controller in hand, I am practically watching a sequence of cinematic events. I have yet to encounter an area that isn't a literal fixed path. Walk down this hallway, through this door, kill N zombies, watch scene, repeat. I hope the game eventually drops me into an area I can explore with a bit more freedom.
I haven't finished the game yet, but I don't think my review will change in the future. So what can I say? It's definitely worth playing. Storyline trauma is guaranteed every two hours or so :D The graphics are truly excellent, as is the soundtrack. I was already satisfied with the first chapter, and the second manages to maintain the appeal necessary to keep you glued to the screen. In almost 11 hours of gameplay, I only suffered one crash, and that's more than acceptable. (It happened to me with the first chapter as well.) In my opinion, I recommend it both on sale and at full price. My rating is 8/10.
Maybe a quarter into the game. I usually wouldn't post a review until completing it, but in this case, the issue is with the technical state of the game rather than the content. It crashes constantly. Like every 2-3 hours. Full crash to desktop, all progress lost (fortunately the checkpoints are extremely forgiving). If they ever fix it, I'll come back and revise this review. So far the content is good, but the game is not in a playable state.
Story was pretty bad, I regret playing it through to the end as it continued to drag on.
