About This Game

Just Updated

Nahatra’s growth has caused side effects that are shaking up the Garden. To stabilize the Garden, help the troubled Swamp Witch, Maydel, solve her problem and invite her to the tea party. Of course, like other domains in the Garden, Maydel’s swamp won’t be particularly friendly to Sil.

Gameplay

Unlike previous chapters, this epilogue is structured as a single map. Countless waves of enemies and successive mid-bosses will block Sil’s path. Defeat enemies within the time limit to earn greater rewards, and complete your build to take down the main boss!

New Weapon: Singing Scissors

After helping Maydel solve her problem, she will gift Sil with a new weapon, Singing Scissors, as a token of gratitude. When activated, Singing Scissors will perform ranged attacks for a set duration. We hope this will inspire new build combinations.

New Special Ability

In Maydel’s swamp domain, a special ability powered by Maydel becomes available. It can be used via a new action button and enhances Sil’s abilities in various ways. This ability is a unique system available only in Maydel’s swamp domain.

About the Game

Garden of Witches is a fast-paced action roguelike where you’ll experience exhilarating combat, precise mechanics, and the thrill of crafting powerful synergies. To beat the game, you’ll need to prepare carefully, master enemy patterns, and strike with style. Shape your build from a randomized pool of spells, upgrades, and relics, and outsmart the other witches that stand in your way.

Host a Tea Party with Witches

The Garden is slowly deteriorating, and it’s all thanks to the idle and selfish witches who’ve lost their sense of duty. To save the Garden, you must beat some sense into them and round them up for the tea party.

The Enchanted Garden of Witches

A fading sanctuary. Rebellious witches. Secrets hidden behind the curtain of dreams. Emotional graphics and immersive storytelling breathe life into a world on the verge of collapse.

Strategy, Synergy, and Style

You play as Sil, the Thread Witch. Wield giant scissors to protect your precious sanctuary and persuade the other unruly witches to gather for the tea party. After each battle, you’ll face critical decisions, choosing spells, upgrades, and relics that define your playstyle. Harness the mysterious power of witches and “persuade” the other witches in the garden with your own unique and strategic combat style.

How to Convince a Witch

Every witch has distinct attack patterns, and they won’t go down easily. Study their movements, time your counterattacks, and use everything in your arsenal to win them over. Precision and quick thinking are your keys to victory.

What Matters is an Unyielding Heart

Even if you hit a wall, don’t give up! Each death is a step forward, unlocking new abilities and permanent growth.

Early Access

In the current Early Access version, you can enjoy the following content:

  • The full main story (5 chapters)

  • A deep combat system built on flexible attribute-based builds

  • A progression system that highlights strategic elements such as attribute synergies, relics, and weapon variations as you progress through each chapter

  • Light endgame content focused on record achievement

Looking ahead, we plan on adding new areas, bosses, endgame content, and a variety of additional features one by one. We’re committed to delivering a game experience that continually evolves with consistent updates and improvements until our game is ready for its 1.0 release.

Your feedback will shape the future of our game. We hope you will join us and be a part of the journey.

I think the game is really enjoyable, story is interesting, one hell of a hidden gem, only thing I personally want is to be able to play as the other witches, like Abigail (my favourite)

not quite what i was expecting but that could be just the early access kind of lack of depth? the cut scene skips just being fast forwarded is sorta odd. there isnt a whole lot of build variety/variability? also i think the mechanics arent totally well portrayed/communicated. like the abilities seem to have depth but its all thrown at you at face value. might benefit from little skill tutorials to really explain and let people take advantage of the skill's details

Peak Hades experience, nice difficulty curve with no flaws, a few unique elements to its own, and nice story & humor supported by the art style. Legitimately, the only thing that left me wanting about Garden of Witches is that as of early access, I 100%d it in 6.5 hours and wish there was more, but its worthy of every penny paid and then some in my opinion. There's enough variety in there that no run really feels the same, and enough generous re-rolling by the end of the story that you can somewhat guarantee a build for every run relatively easily. There's also a rather clever tutorialization going, where there are very quick puzzle challenges that show you a certain build's potential and then give you a boost to that build permanently in case you'd like to go for it. All in all I'm giving it a perfectly positive review. Devs cooked!

Cute and polished to perfection. The dodge/parry window is responsive and plenty forgiving. The boss attacks are well telegraphed and bs free. A good first entry into the Hack&Slash roguelikes.

I don't normally leave reviews but this game is so goddamn good that I have to leave one. If you haven't tried it out yet, buy it. It's worth every penny.

Very nice roguelike, akin to Hades action and art style of Chrono Ark which I loved. If you like either of those games or roguelikes at all this is a great pickup.

18$ of whimsical characters and gameplay > ~600$ for the little plumbing asshole

Fun hades-like with actually interesting builds! The bosses feel more like MMO bosses where it's all about dodging and knowing the boss patterns, and you really feel like you understand them better each run. Quite a few boss variants as well are automatically unlocked as you progress which is really cool. Meta progression is fine, no complaints. You get bonuses to base stats essentially like HP, DMG, spellcasting speed, etc. you can buy with currency from runs. Not overly complicated.
