Man what a disappointment. Just play the original.

REFUNDED IT. And that makes me pretty sad, because I had really high hopes. It's pretty much unplayable. Laggy, janky audio and movement. In areas that are not even dense with zombies, Frank would jump and it would be in like slow motion because of the lag. I lowered settings and did all that and it was still crap. From the little bit I did get to play, i was enjoying it though, so this sucks. Shame on Capcom for releasing this lazy piece of crap. A remaster it is not. Dead Rising: Degraded Edition

I’ve covered every war, ya know? I played every edition of the game from 360, Wii, PC and now the remastered on PC. The game is nearly identical to the original one. The original one is probably the most charming and unique game to ever exist. I’m not sure how to explain it because there’s no other game quite like dead rising. The game is open world but is quite linear when you know everything. The biggest improvement I’ve see is the survivor AI. If you played the first one you know it is nearly impossible to escorted survivor. It got to a point where I only pick up individuals that you can carry or hold hands with. Within the remastered edition you can easily escort multiple survivors and not worry. One annoyance is the “give item” command. I don’t recall this being a problem with the original but again I didn’t reached a lot of survivors but in the remaster I found I often give items to survivors by complete accident. Its an excellent and faithful remaster. If you loved the original you'll love this.

I'm literally at the start of the game and the audio is bugged. Many audio and graphic stutters in every cutscenes and then my game went in slow motion before crashing. And this is before the zombies even entered the mall....so far the programming of this seems awful, especially when you compare it with the original and when it was created. How do older games run way smoother then their remaster with nowaday's technology i have no idea...it is sad really. Update : i tried lowering the shadows and graphisms from medium to low as suggested online but now the audio is not synced with the characters lips movments...don't know what to tell you. This is Dead Rising and i struggle to run it about as much as Detroit Become Human and those are 2 completely different games in therms of Engine and budget.

I have always wanted to play this game since it's such a classic, but the original was unplayable to me because of the horrible survivor AI and wonky controls. I can say this remaster fixes that, for the most part. Only had one time a survivor got stuck, and it was just on a door with no danger. Finally was able to complete it without pulling my hair out, GG capcom.
