This game is comically brutal with a learning curve you have to adapt to at gunpoint, yet it's charming and addicting nature really motivates you to keep going. Keep playing the game until you understand all the text events and the personalities + Stats you need to survive them and you're in for a real treat of a roguelike. There is A-LOT of rare events and playable special characters so expect to keep finding new things for a long time. Just know that Cooling it is an "investment strategy". I give it a toilet genie/10 can't wait for space dingus aaaaa.

About This Game
Death Road is built for replay value. Everything is randomized: locations, events, survivor appearances and personalities. There's a different story every time you play, set in a world that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Death Features:
- Up to 500 zombies can hunt you down at a time. Fight them, try to squirm past, or run.
- Use the character creator to put yourself, friends, and family in the game. Have them show up at random to get eaten!
- Find special and rare events, weapons, and characters with strange abilities.
- Make tough choices in Interactive Fiction events. Get different options and results based on the traits of your party members.
- Teach a dog how to drive a car.
- Throw chairs. Get your characters strong enough to throw large sofas.

Too punishing / not rewarding enough to reach it's potential
I became a dog who can drive a car, found the Dale's Dead Bug van from King of the Hill, and attempted to jump it over a crack in the Earth only to fail horribly and die, amazing game would die again. 100/10
Zombie land ahhh videogame
Yet another silly game where dogs are insanely op... but you also get to play as one!
You can yell COOL IT to the army dog 10/10
This beautiful entry to the roguelike genre perfectly blends 1/2 Zombies Ate My Neighbors and 1/2 Oregon Trail. It will provide instant nostalgia for those of us 80s and 90s. R kids. Rocketcat and Madgarden knocked it out of the park with this one.
played this on mobile then got it on PC i was not disappointed. 4/score would die in a blaze of glory at Walmart again
One of my favorite games to play on the Steam Deck. I played a bunch of this on mobile also, so my total hours are longer than this. It's an Oregon Trail-like with top down action levels. Each run is maybe 2 hours. There are some long term unlocks for creating more powerful custom characters. The art style works well and the writing leans heavy on fun.
