Not bad I've just started, but it's kept my interest. I'll update this review when I get more. I would love a glossary for terms at least though. Also I believe the renpy engine is used, never thought about that for a text game, so that's pretty unique if it is the renpy game engine. Give it a try, it's not expensive and you don't really have anything to lose. Played a bit more, just got Athos and the town. The Humor is so worth it.

About This Game

You are an elf of unknown lineage living in a remote tower with your best friend, Gruzi, in the mercenary town of Kirkvir. As a mage, Gruzi was in danger of being snatched up for a forced marriage by the Council. To protect him you agreed to a false marriage, claiming you were his voifoten -- soulmate -- to any who asked.
Rejected by the city as a “dropoff” in spite of your athleticism, you spend most of your free time watching the official trainees. After sparring with the Weapon Master Lubien, he pulls you aside and admits your worst nightmare: The Council has discovered the truth about you and Gruzi.
So begins your panicked flight from the city and eventual discovery of a secret sealed deep in an ancient ruin.

Vogvhathos plays as a role-playing text game where almost every choice will affect the story in some way. Will you focus on adventuring or try to romance your companions? Do you want to explore the world freely or try to prove yourself to your city council?
Additional to the main storyline are the “Camp” screen, where you can engage in party banter, and the Descendants of Cloveia emblem, which lets you relive moments in the past to uncover its secrets.
The story has many branches as well as multiple ways the story can end. Which will you discover?

"You"
An acrobatic, elven "dropoff" who longs to leave the city and experience mercenary life. You know this to be impossible, however, as the city refuses to Sign anyone with unknown lineage. (Choose male or female)

Gruzi
Gruzi is your best friend and technically your husband, although the marriage was only to keep him safe from the Council and your relationship is purely platonic.

Vogvhathos
Discovered sealed deep in buried desert ruins, this individual claims to be a dragon. They tell you the power crystal you just absorbed is their own and that you command the majority of their power. (male or female, player choice)

Lubien
As Weapon Master of Kirkvir, Lubien holds a seat on the Council as well as trains all of the new mercenaries. Due to his high status and handsome features, he is the most sought after bachelor in the city.

Rinagi
A rogue mercenary from Kirkvir, Rinagi has an intense hatred for the city and its politics. Born and raised there, however, he still uses his trained skills for their benefit... but only as an occasional assassin when they agree to his terms.

Cloveia
An elf from a distant past, her story is an optional addition that is unlocked in segments as the story progresses. What connection does she have to current events?

This must be one of the most under-rated games/VNs on Steam! I almost missed it, and its well worth having a look at for the artwork and the music, as well as the entertaining story. I think it was originally made for a cell phone app, but the port to Windows is more professional than many more expensive games from well established developers. I have just finished my first run through, and thoroughly enjoyed it! Unlike many VNs, this is not anime, and is based on legends of dragons, elves and other mythical people, and set in a fantasy country sometime in the past. The characters are all individuals, and you can choose the gender of some and whether to romance them or not. You can definitely trade insults with them (some are wonderfully snarky), and have sensitive private moments as well. I had a good ending, but I'm sure I only have part of the story, with a long way to go! This was crafted by a talented Indie artist, and for less than the price of a coffee or soft drink, you can en...
This game is unbelievably amazing I can hardly believe it was created by one person. This feels like it should have been created by a team of at least 3 people. This feels like a Bioware game without the gameplay, which let's be honest, if you're me the gameplay was just a fun addition to your roleplay romance game. The choices in this game are weighted like a Bioware game and the romanceable characters are fully fleshed out and I want to romance every single one of them. Even the characters who you think you might dislike, if you get to know them a bit you fall in love with them. From what I understand this is one game that takes place in a massive universe and I hope the creator uploads those to steam too! Seriously, the choices in this game keep me in such suspense that I have stopped playing just to think out the consequences of one massive choice. Give this game a try, it's incredible, and at two bucks, what do you have to lose?
Interesting story, not a fan of the endings, they left me a bit disappointed...however, for the price its well worth the read.
Awesome story! Super dynamic characters and a cool fantasy world to explore! Definitely worth a read, and there's tons of replay value. During my first read I'm already planning my next playthrough!
[STEAMDECK REVIEW] This game was quite the pleasant surprise. I love text-based interactive fiction games. But I had hesitantly bought this at the time, due to it's very low price. I thought that because the price was so cheap (1.99), perhaps the game was probably super short, or had very little content, but I was completely wrong! It had enough content to be almost 10hrs worth of game-play for me. But that's with me only romancing the 3 male ROs, and playing the best friend route with Gruzi where you romance no one. For me though, I'm personally finished with this game now. It was a really great story and I would honestly love to see another within this universe and with more detailed romance scenes and even more descriptive sex scenes, since they were more fade to black. That and the romance scenarios felt very light. But either way, I highly recommend this game! I played this on my steamdeck and it worked great, for anyone interested. With how much went into this game, it shoul...
Loved the game. Intricate story with good lore and interesting characters
This is a very charming and engaging story! It reminded me a lot of the choose-your-own-adventure books I would read as a kid. Vogvhathos is immersive in a similar way: compelling and fun in a very easygoing kind of way. Also, you can play as a lady who gets a dragon girlfriend. 10/10
A nice interactive story.
