Extremely fun game, less than an hour to finish the first run, ~7hrs to 100%, and the achievements are really fun to do. Overall a great game, I'd have loved to pay a bit more for it, 3€ seems like a steal for this! Please do not refund indie games you've enjoyed and finished in less than 2hrs, it hurts indie devs.

User Reviews
It's not as interesting as I thought it'd be. There's only a single set of rules, and once you divine those it's mostly a game of playing weird chess against a troll in specific ways to unlock the specific achievements. I was hoping for more, constantly evolving rules that need to be deduced and evaded, rather than performing "runs" to tick of achievements. So if you're interested in this game for the promise of deduction: I'd avoid this game. I think most people play it for the memes or something? I imagine it's big amongst fans of stuff like Undertale, Deltarune, Homestruck etc.
A very simple concept that is absolutely frustrating to play. But to be fair, all of the frustration comes from intentional game design and not from mistakes so I can't fault it.
For a non-spoiler review, I will just state my opinion: Finding out about the rules is fun, and playing the game the first time was very fun! However, I expected more twists and turns to get to the end -more rules which could change the experience when you defeat the troll, for example- but there isn't much beyond what you get at the very start. Personally I was left unsatisfied. Now, as for critique that isn't just "ADD MORE GAME!11!!1", I posit the thing that made me want to write a negative review:
The rules ending, which much of the game points you towards, is not very interesting. You're playing against an opponent that can cheat freely, like moving his tower across pieces to kill your king, so even if you win you do so at the mercy of the troll - This makes the climax of the game not about besting the troll but about watching him flounder into defeat, which to me falls rather flat even if it is meant to be a silly game
Quick review: 3 ### Metric ### 1- Garbage. :( 2- Did not fulfill the purpose. 3 - Ok, fulfilled the purpose. 4 - A good game! 5 - Just play and be happy. :)
