Being a Princess is not an easy job. Being a Queen is even harder. Especially when you're only fourteen years old, and the reason you've inherited the throne is that your royal mother has just met an untimely end.

Now power is up for grabs. You may be the official heir, but much of the country's nobility would love to steal the throne for themselves. Aggressive neighbors will take advantage of any weakness to enlarge their borders at your expense. And that's not even mentioning the magical dangers which are lying in wait...

This is not a roleplaying game. This is a dodge gotcha deaths simulator. I'm fine with making the game hard but you have to be given a way to see it coming! It can't just be "whoops you didn't level interior decorating, a skill with no uses anywhere else, now you died"!

This was my personal introduction to princess-maker games, and it's a very good one at that. There's lots of replay potential with plenty of ways to approach problems. The mood system makes planning out stat training extra challenging, but in my opinion, that just adds to the fun. It's a classic game, give it a shot!
