While it manages to craft a strong atmosphere at times, everything else about the experience is clunky, underdeveloped, or just plain frustrating. The first red flag comes almost immediately: I had to pull up a walkthrough just to understand the very first objective. The game doesn’t explain itself well, and instead of feeling mysterious, it just feels poorly designed. From there, the cracks only deepen. The fishing minigame, which plays a central role for some reason, is easily one of the worst offenders.
