About the Game

INFRA puts you into the boots of an ordinary structural analyst – nothing more than a desk jockey assigned to survey some routine structural damage. Quickly though, your mission turns from a mundane trek to a fight for survival, all caused by deep-rooted schemes of the past. Your tools are simple: the camera around your neck and the wits to navigate a virtual labyrinth of debris. How you tell your story is your choice, will you have the commitment to finish your duty, or will you ignore all else but the preservation of your own life?

INFRA is what we like to call a gun-free puzzle adventure. Instead of large explosions and powerful guns, you will rely on your cunning to survive puzzles in an incredibly detailed world. As you travel through the infrastructure of a city you will find that your actions and thorough observations ultimately determine if others will survive. A society obsessed with upgradation has brought a disaster upon itself and it is your job to help restore it.

Honestly a great game. I enjoyed it so much that I even went back to get all of the achievements, which in itself made me realize I had not seen nearly as much as I thought I had the first time around. Starting out initially I was actually a bit worried that I may have already spoiled too much of the game for myself to truly get the full experience, due to having already watched a playthrough prior to buying the game, but I was proven pleasantly wrong! There's just so much to discover in the world, and learn about regarding the story, that it really takes MULTIPLE playthroughs to truly see everything. As I've seen many others say, the majority of the game is just a lot of walking as you move from area to area, look for secrets, or solve puzzles, but the game gives you such a beautiful and detailed looking world to walk around in (especially considering this was all achieved on source), that at least for me it wasn't really an issue, and actually kept me invested in covering every in...

infra is a great game if you like walking simulator games and long lengthy games. You play as Mark, a Surveyor for NCG Group. who has to go to a dam to take photographs and report in to your team and boss of anything unusual such as broken doors, broken windows, railway signals down, etc along the way you will be either outdoors or indoors checking rooms, and or outdoor objects and using your camera to take photos and reading notes, taking photos of notes. In dark area you use your flashlight. Collect batteries for the flashlight and camera to keep stocked up so you can take photos. Its a lengthy game depending if you run through or not or take your time. Enjoy the background noise such as birds, waterfalls, and navigate through forests and indoor areas. Great game for any walking simulator fan. Highly recommend giving this a go, I only discovered it a few weeks ago and started playing a few days ago. There are puzzles too like finding breaker circuits to insert into the mi...

The game is OK, for a while. Never really great. The scale of the environment, and the look of the run-down industrial buildings is a strong positive. There are 2-3 interesting puzzles, but too often tedious is mistaken for "hard": most puzzles come down to searching, searching, searching for a valve wheel you know you need. Too many interesting puzzles are skippable completely, sometimes by accident, when you think you will be able to go back but cannot. The best way to think about the game is more like a 3-D maze, and some of these maze "puzzles" were interesting and challenging. But far too often, it was a "try every.single.door.again.and.again". It doesn't help that many doors are designed so you can still interact with them, yet you will never use those doors. Another design annoyance is that many of the computer panels etc that cover the walls are non-interactable, except when they are, and the visual look of those elements is not strongly differentiated enough. It is the ty...

Tedious maze of endless sewers. The first of all the plot is amazing. This would work as a movie or a series. I was expecting a lot after playing the sequel first Obenseuer (Open Sewer) , the best indie game ever from the same developer with endless things to do. But I don't recommend unless you love the slow paced endless puzzles. There is next to none clues towards the end. If you miss any detail you are stuck in sewers forever. You stumble for hours and hours in the dark with frustratingly limited flashlight batteries. My eyes hurt trying to stare details for hours. Walkthroughs just ruin the game they don’t help or give hints they spoil the game. Too much sewer levels and every door is always locked. This should be named Closed Sewer, unlike Open Sewer which was also a funny game unlike this one. This was only twisted and dark. The developer has a thing for sewers surely.

Bought it, realised there is a glitch with the "memory available" setting (keeps randomly shutting down), refunded it, couldn't bear not playing it, found a solution to that problem, bought it again (for good this time)

INFRA is a distinctive first-person adventure game developed by Loiste Interactive that offers a unique blend of exploration, puzzle-solving, and narrative-driven gameplay set against the backdrop of industrial infrastructure and environmental decay. Unlike traditional adventure titles or shooters, INFRA immerses players in a world where the thrill comes not from combat but from uncovering the hidden stories within abandoned buildings, crumbling factories, and massive engineering structures. The game’s emphasis on atmosphere, environmental storytelling, and realistic problem-solving provides a refreshing experience that stands apart from more action-oriented or plot-heavy games. The game’s visual design is one of its most striking features. INFRA excels in creating a gritty, realistic atmosphere that captures the feeling of decay and neglect in a convincingly detailed industrial environment. The architecture is meticulously rendered, with vast interiors of concrete, rusted metal, ...

Well... I think I'm done. I really wanted to like this after reading the reviews, and yes, this game started strong, and had a lot of potential, but I lost my patience. After some hours (I think close to mid-game?) it started getting extremely frustrating and repetitive, and it kept going like that, constantly. Here's my main issue: the game has a realistic setting, by the beginning it really makes you feel like it wants to be realistic, which to me was part of its charm, but after a while I couldn't stop noticing the unrealistic behavior by the protagonist and ridiculous situations you're constantly dealing with. This game feels like it just wants to postpone the ending over and over again by having all the possible bad things happening to you, or your character making the worse decisions. The protagonist keeps being blocked by something that breaks, closed doors, close to death moments, and this happens again and again and again... and AGAIN! Then the game hints at being almost o...
