About the Game
Zephyr Town’s bazaar was once one of the grandest in the world, drawing customers and peddlers from all four corners of the globe. These days, though, the bazaar has more tumbleweeds than customers. It’s up to you to turn its fortunes around! Raise animals, harvest crops, craft rare delicacies, then sell your wares at your very own stall in the bazaar. As the bazaar business grows, new goods and services will arrive, which you can use to improve your farm. Help return prosperity to the bazaar, and Zephyr Town will thrive once again!
Inspired by the classic handheld title, the new STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar builds up and improves on the original in every conceivable way. The world is bigger and more alive than ever thanks to incredible new visuals, new characters, expanded story, and full character voice work in story events—a series first. Take advantage of Zephyr Town’s unique weather, using the wind to make travel and farm tasks a breeze! The winds of change are coming to deliver your new life in STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar.

The remake is super cozy and charming, and I really love that they added voice overs. I played the Nintendo DS version as a kid, and it was one of my favorite Harvest Moon games. That said, I do wish there were a few more activities that feel different from the usual routine while waiting for saturday,I haven’t played too far yet though, so I’m hoping the game opens up with more unique things to do as I go. The soundtrack is another thing I feel a little mixed about, the current music isn’t bad at all, but I personally prefer the older one. Still, it’s not a big deal. Really hoping they remake Animal Parade, Sunshine Islands, or Tale of Two Towns next.
A charming revisit to a beloved classic -- STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar is a slow burn full of charisma.
While I still have so much of the game left to play, I already love it and I want to review it. If you ever played the original Harvest Moon title, you will really enjoy this one. It is pretty faithful, and all the new additions serve to make it even more enjoyable. From quality of life changes to some new, welcome additions to the cast, the game is completely recognizable but with a much appreciated fresh coat of paint. Coming back to Zephyr Town feels like coming back to a familiar place, which makes me excited to play this during Autumn as it goes without saying that, as one would expect from STORY OF SEASONS, cozy vibes abound. The voice acting takes some getting used to, but it isn't unwelcome. It's very interesting for a change, actually. I think every voice actor delivered strongly. This game also heralds in the triumphant return of portrait...
STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar is not just another re-skin of the older game with barely any changes made (cough cough SoS AWL). It’s a full on, ground up remake that removed what held the original back and expanded upon what made it great. This is THE definitive entry I would suggest to anyone looking to get into the the Story of Seasons/Harvest Moon franchise, or who is already a longtime fan looking to get back into it. P.S. I highly recommend getting the Pinefly DLC to support the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland in restoring the almost extinct species. It's only $1.99 and comes with a very cute outfit + gilder! The art style is endlessly charming, and the game runs perfectly with little to no lag, glitches, or bugs to speak of. This is the best looking Story of Seasons game to date. The thoughtful animations really add a nice touch, like petals coming off when you walk through flowers, the grass swaying and shining in the wind, and the town clock displaying the actual in-ga...
Initial impressions: this feels so much more polished than the last few Story of Seasons games. The controls and movement feel perfect, the graphics are very pretty, the town is charming, you can skip some of the tutorial (not all unfortunately), it all feels very solid. Barring some big surprise, this seems like an easy recommendation in the genre.
No way. It's actually good this time wtf. It's been what, 9 years? Instead of being The same game but (imo) uglier or missing the tone of the original, they actually improved it. Some new stuff that I noticed (very mild spoilers depending on what you consider a spoiler):
• A larger mountain & [strike] (apparently, haven't reached it) a beach area. [/strike] EDIT: I believe the beach info was misinformation on reddit. • Waving to neighbors (Which means I don't have to stop and talk to everyone every all the time) • 3(?) new characters (a bachelor, a bachelorette, and a villager) • Cameos from past games • New stalls in the bazaar (and new mechanics relating to it, making Saturdays/Bazaar Days much more meaningful) • Harvest sprites exist now, with their own gameplay additions • The trophy shelf with achievements and such you can display • There's probably new recipes(?) but don't quote me on that. It's been idek, 15 years since I played the original?[/spoile...
Only two hours in and I’m already hooked. It feels so fresh, like something new and cozy to dive into instead of just another remake. Everything runs smooth and welcoming, I had to drag myself away just to sleep and I can’t wait to play more tomorrow. The weekly bazaar feature is such a fun idea. It’s like a little mini game every Saturday, but not overwhelming at all. Easy to follow, satisfying and actually makes selling feel exciting. I also love how the game already gives you a big house with a kitchen and a bath to restore stamina, it feels so rewarding from the start instead of making you grind forever for basics. And small details? Chef’s kiss. The hatchet being both an axe and a hammer is genius. Farming, crafting, exploring, it all just clicks together in a way that makes me want to keep going. If you love cozy farming sims but want something with a unique spin, this already feels like a gem. 🌱✨ – Soraphina 🌸
I am aware I only have 4 hours so far, but I have been WAITING for this reinvented version of this game to come out since it got announced and I must say I am I N L O V E. The voice acting, the music, the time that went into re-making this game has made me stay up all night without realizing the time and I have no regrets. If you are on the fence about buying this game just buy it! This is not like any other remodel such as FoMT or AWL, this truly is something I've come to love very fast and craved from SoS for a very long time. Would I love a remake of Harvest Moon DS? Yes, but this will definitely suffice for now and has quenched my thirst for a good ol' "harvest moon" game. <3 Lots of love for this so far.
After experiencing the huge disappointment that was A Wonderful Life, I was a bit sceptical about trying Grand Bazaar right at release. I am SO glad that I did though, cos my fears did not come true whatsoever. This game feels so much livelier, more vibrant and engaging than AWL in every single aspect. I was hooked within minutes and so far it feels like the more I play the more I discover to like about the game. If you felt disappointed by AWL, like I did, don't let that stop you from trying Grand Bazaar!
I bought Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar the second it dropped—pure muscle memory from my DS days. Next thing I know, it’s three hours later, and I’m deep into crop planning, animal care, and trying to charm half the town like it’s 2008 all over again. This game is peak cozy nostalgia. The farming is simple, the characters are full of charm, and the weekly bazaar system adds a fun, interactive twist that makes selling your goods actually exciting. It captures that old-school Harvest Moon magic while still feeling fresh. 9/10 – Bought it for nostalgia, stayed because I forgot what time was.
