This technology allows for easy modifications of the genetic map in DNA, making it possible to produce more efficient animals and treat certain diseases. Upon its introduction, GMET garnered significant interest and attracted substantial investments, leading to the establishment of the GMET Center and the swift commencement of experiments.
After achieving success with other organisms, GMET's next target was the Bombyx Mori moth. However, things did not go as planned; serious problems began to arise, spiraling out of control. This danger now threatens not just GMET, but all of humanity.
