This game is only for the X-Box controller and buttons cannot be remapped for PlayStation controllers. In most games you hold down the jump button for longer to jump higher, but it works differently in this game. Double jumping to the maximum height requires you to press jump twice in quick succession. Holding down the jump button for longer has no effect on how high you jump in a single or double jump. If you do not press jump twice quickly enough then the double jump has almost no lift. This does not seem like a deliberate design choice, but rather the programmer did not know how to write code to do normal jumping. Movement feels clunky all round and bad to control.

Cant recommend this game in its current state. The Metroidvania genre has solidified tight gameplay with percise movements but every dodge and every attack in this game feels off.. the menus are even worse It isnt really clear on what you have equipped at any given moment (you can figure it out outside of the menu but in the menu its super unclear). The double jump is neat but it feels a bit awkward at times. Ladders feel outright offensive, I dont think every game needs a dedicated Ladder climbing animation but in this game you press a button, it fades to black and pop you are on top of the ladder, this feels very immersion breaking for me.. also, sometimes Im going through the equipment menu, press "A" to equip something and get teleported up/down because there was a ladder nearby. Please please polish this game up a little more! It looks pretty good, I like the atmosphere and the story seems to be competent but with these controls it feels unplayable to me!
