This is just a hit and miss game that I had hard time deciding if I should give it a thumbs up or down...I ended up giving it a thumbs down due to its current state and the improvements it needs after a whole season 1 release. I will list the hits and misses below so its up to you decide if you want to buy it and up to the developer to implement improvements to address the misses. Story: (Hit&Miss) I have read the recent reviews where most of the players did not find the story interesting enough, connected enough or put together enough. I would have to agree with some of that, yet this is a hard one to rate objectively; whether you would like it or not depends mostly on your likes and interests. I found the story interesting enough yet there are parts where the story telling just stalls and then moves at a lighting speed. This left me bored and then made me wonder what happened to all that pretenses and side stories. It did keep me interested enough to play it through. I would like ...

The writing is very unrefined. The way story telling happens is painfully slow and dry. Most dialogue seems to be stuffed in there to pad play time. Not many sex scenes, but at least the female models were amazingly done. The problem is it is so bleeding boring. I fell asleep many many times just trying to get to the end. It was from me rolling my eyes so hard I had to rest them, and then one thing lead to another and I fell asleep. And not the "one thing lead to another" that might lead most people to fall asleep. Nope. This was the boring, unfulfilled type. Not worth it one sale, which is how I got it. Definitely not worth full price. I really don't feel like there is anyway they could possible continue the story in a fulfilling way. I can't imagine anyone caring, because I stopped caring not exactly right away, but it did feel like it took days to get to the end. Just no no no.
Note that this is not The Grey Dream that you are thinking about purchasing(as the store page says), this is The Grey Dream Part 1. If you want a complete story, I think they said it took 3 years to finish this so you will be waiting until 2031...if you are lucky. I am onto the 6th of the 7 chapters, just under 1.5 hours. It got so dragged out and boring that I started fast forwarding most of it. Why? The graphic models are good, but the animation scenes are just ok. They are building up to different characters, but most of the scenes are actually randos that just come out of nowhere. There is a market for games that are heavy to storytelling and add in some adult content, but they are much better stories than this, this kind of plot has been done in 10 other similar games I have played, and done much better by some. The English is painful at times, it really needed to be looked over by someone who is fluent in the language, there was one point that about four times in a row the dialo...
It was OK. I would have preferred to know this is a "Book 1" story before buying it. It would have been better to end it with the happy ending rather than a cliff-hanger nonsense. Cliff-hangers are extremely disappointing for something with such a long development cycle. I see what the dev. was trying to do with the story-telling, but the style is a little off for me. I liked having on/off romantic choice options during the story. The art was good. Some of the animations were good and some were meh. This really needs a Walkthrough that is able to be toggled on/off in Settings. I'll get the sequel eventually after release, but it won't be a priority.
The ending is not my cuppa but overall it's not bad. Lily best girl.
There is so much potential here, but the execution is lacking. The story is not compelling. The plot isn't terrible, but there's too much filler that doesn't add anything, not even character development. There's more clicking required than is necessary, which increases the game friction for no reason except perhaps to lengthen the amount of time a player spends in the game. When I play an AVN for the first time, I'll often pick one main LI and focus on her. Sometimes I'll go for a harem/poly route, but in this instance, I chose one main LI and avoided any lewd scenes between the MC and other main girls. I just happened to pick the main LI who decides to move to another city. Okay. Stuff like that happens irl. I still wanted to keep the MC faithful to that LI in her absence, because it seemed she might come back eventually. But the weird thing was that the game pushed the MC into an intimate relationship with another main LI after that. It felt jarring, especially as I wasn't given any...
I keep forgetting this game is in my library. I have tried to go back and play it 3 or 4 times. Each time I remember very quickly why I have been unable to progress very far into what is a horrible story and a very poorly designed game. The only saving grace for me is the lewd scenes are pretty good(visually), but extremely short and with really no variation to each interaction. However, even in those scenes the dialog during the scenes is laughably terrible. On top of all that, the pace the game moves forward is so slow that you begin to click to move forward so quickly you inevitably miss dialog. Don't worry, missing dialog is not the worst thing about this game. I just wish I'd missed buying it.
This may be th3 most click heavy AVN i have ever played.......and it's boring........AVOID THIS.
Game is meh but the s*x is hot
It looks really beautiful but the story is really boring, and when something important happens the characters are just emotionally life-less.
