About This Game

Into the Dungeon is a roguelike deck builder with online coop. Play as one of 4 classes to battle creatures from a grim fantasy world tainted by evil. Build your deck with class unique cards, unlock artifacts that augment the way you play, and team-up with cross class synergies.

Into the Dungeon features 4 unique character classes, each with their own unique perks, cards and playstyles.

Classes

  • The Wizard deals high damage and manipulates the Exhaust card mechanic to his advantage. His unique class artifact the Mana Stone carries mana over through rounds allowing him to deal massive damage with high cost cards.

  • The Paladin can sustain heavy damage with his unique class artifact Plate Armor. He utilizes combos between offensive and defensive cards to deal heavy damage while maintaining his defensive stats.

  • The Viking deals massive damage through single turn combos while granting herself and her allies damage buffs and resistances. Her unique class artifact the Three Leaf Clover enhances her multi-attack playstyle, increasing her damage on every third strike.

  • The Bard is the most complex of the classes with a totally different playstyle from the rest thanks to her unique class artifact the Musicians Trick. Her artifact builds up power every time she plays a card, unleashing the stored energy whenever she plays her unique Song cards. Additionally, She utilizes poisons to her advantage, building up damage over the course of a combat.

What makes Into the Dungeon different from other cooperative card-battlers is that all players act in real time. This keeps the pace of the game fast and fun as you simultaneously blast your foes and increase your power. Delve deep into a roguelike deck builder with an easy introduction and a deep challenge to keep you engaged.

Hardcore Mode

Upon completing the game in classic mode you will unlock Hardcore Mode. This mode is designed to challenge experienced rogue-like deck-builder fans. It includes boosted stats for enemies as well as a round timer for some added pressure.

Multiplayer Saves

Pickup where you left off with auto saving in both single player and multiplayer. Simply have the host re-open the lobby and reconnect to jump back into the action.

beat the game fully in 5 hours, the second game with a friend we barely broke a sweat. Very repetitive enemies, very basic animation and artwork. Most of the cards and abilities are taken from other games, but has good combos. Very rigid with the shop and extremely low power artifacts. The game runs fine, no bugs, very simple, just not worth 13 dollars right now. wishlist it until it's got more to it.

As someone who has little experience with deckbuilders, Into the Dungeon is surprisingly approachable. You can tell that the devs took their time and put a lot of thought into each card. I played solo as a wizard and found myself getting excited to build up mana and expend it all on huge burst damage. I love that you can easily see what the enemies intend to do and can adjust your play-style accordingly. Buying new cards and artifacts and upgrading cards feels rewarding and you can see the power jump of your character. I found myself getting more bold as I played and taking more risks on which path I took. Into the Dungeon has gotten me interested in the deckbuilder genre as a whole and I highly recommend it.

I love that Into The Dungeon allows you to play single player as well as coop. The music and art is so fun, and the cards have been really well thought out. Early access is well developed and there were no major bugs when I played. If you're thinking about purchasing, do it. You're supporting the great team behind FROG game studios.

Very fun. Playable in singleplayer or with up to 4 people, pretty beginner-friendly, and gets updates frequently with exciting stuff. Also bugs that are reported in the discord tend to get fixed pretty quick, which is pleasant. Only some minor flaws bc its in early access as of today (Feb 12th, 2024). 9/10 very rcommendable, had lotta fun playing it with friends

more content would be apreciated, dont get me wrong the game is all fun for the price, but it would be cool to get some progress and permanent unlocks or something like perks or new cards that can be unlocked

Multiplayer is way to buggy, most of the time it is just black screen for no reason at all, the scaling is also not there at all.

If you love Across the Obelisk, Slay the Spire and other similar games, this is a must have! Of course the artwork is a bit "lazy" but it fulfills its purpose and has its own unique charm. The different Decks are nice and allow for some crazy and op builds. I don't understand how this game has so little reviews. Buy it! Edit: As I've found out the game is sadly very buggy. First run crashed in front of last boss, second run ignored our positions and enemies always attacked back character and after me and my partner died the game crashed again. If it were more stable it could be perfect.
