Was there ever a good ole days for Japanese Adult Visual Novels? Yeah, with my ancient wisdom born from decades upon decades of viewing adult materials, I'd say somewhere in the 90s. Koi Spirit seems to have captured a similar feeling and aesthetic of the Japanese adult visual novels with Shinjuku Hearts. Does that date me? Yeah, I suppose it does. The look is definitely there. As is the attention to detail. I mean, who really looks at the backgrounds of Japanese Pubs in these type of games? I do apparently, and there it was. those Japanese alcohol girl advert posters on the walls. Who cares about characters in Adult visual novels? I do. And there it was in Shinjuku Hearts as well. The relationship building and conversations of realistic humans. Very sexy scenes with very beautiful women. A bonus is that it doesn't have that insufferable pixelization censoring from Japanese visual novels back in the day. I think this might be a niche game. Not quite like the ones made for ...

This visual novel is great! Played through a few of the storylines and so far it didn't disappoint. You can tell the developers really put a lot of detail into the artwork. The background really did look like modern day Japan. I also liked the way the characters chat feels super real and relatable - like you could easily be part of their conversations. My favourite story line was the one with Mako. Wish there could have been more of her. Hopefully there will be some additional stories in future DLC's. Will definitely try those out. Pros: - Great attention to detail with the hand-drawn artwork. - Very high quality content. Well worth the price. - Well written characters and story lines. Cons: - Would have liked some more options in some of the scenes. - Adding some voice acting or more animations would have been great. Overall I give it a 8.5/10.

One of the best AVNs I've played in a while. It's feels realistic, the drawing is great and there are meaningful choices. Characters are well disclosed. A bit short, but I really enjoyed it. Sign me up for the continuation, if any.
I liked shared route the most
Had fun going through this AVN. The artwork is awesome! It's great to see such artwork that has so much detail. Really feels like you're in Shinjuku itself! Can definitely tell the creator put a lot of effort and care into the artwork. The MC is relatable. And the women are beautiful. There's a type and story path for everyone. The erotic scenes are definitely worth the wait. Fulfils every man's dreams! Hope there's a sequel! Would love to see more of Mako....

This is one underrated Adult Visual Novel! The background music was amazing The art was so good that it makes you catch a glimpse of how it would feel like in the 90's bumping girls in the streets of Japan! Plus the best part about this visual novel is that its already fully uncensored! We need to have more of this type of visual novel! would definitely buy it directly!

Every once in a while a game comes along with a story that has real emotional impact that keeps you on edge, wondering how things will turn out. No—I am not talking about the standard tear-jerker stuff like someone gets cancer or there is a rival that will steal your potential girlfriend. I’m referring to a story well-written enough that you really care for the people involved and you really want things to work out for the best. Shinjuku contains at least one such story line. There are five endings and three female love interests. Chances are good in my opinion that you will want to go through at least one of the routes more than once just because it is so enjoyable. The mechanics of the VN are straightforward. You make logical choices and the consequences of those choices make sense. The high quality graphics make the journey more pleasurable as well. It seems there is more than one artist, with some of the images being strikingly high in quality, shading, and color. Oh, and th...

I enjoyed this game. If you're on the fence about buying, here's a quick rundown on why I think it's worth it. If the following points apply, then maybe you'll enjoy it also. Do you like: Interesting characters that have different personalities and enough 'weight' to them that you can see them acting in certain ways. An art style that is a bit more retro and calls to mind more a pre-2000s feel. Good humor. Good story. A relatable protagonist who seems to be a genuinely good Guy. Beef bowls. For some reason their area backgrounds and background characters are great. Like, other games they'd just have some shadow cutouts but these are all fully detailed. Pretty rad. If any of those hit you, then check it out. I could go into a long, rambling justification for why I like this game. But I won't. Just imagine I did. Instead, go and have some fun with it. I have my favorite route, but all the characters are pretty fun. The author definitely has their heart in the game and they're looking f...

TL;DR: Short. Sweet, but short. I've picked recommend, but if I'm entirely honest, a neutral review would have been better. A VN following Guy who gets to get up close and personal with three different girls he (in two cases, literally) runs into. The writing is sweet, and the different storylines are simple but well done. You can save whenever a choice appears (there's not that many, and they're always A/B choices) which helps, plenty of save slots too. The H-content is all static images with text overlay describing the action. I'll admit, it didn't really get my motor running, I prefer stuff to be animated, but the drawings are well done and look good. The only real variety between the girls is in their hair colour and bust size though, other than that, their looks are pretty interchangeable. All H-content is vanilla, sure there's a variety of positions but no kinks. All in all, I applaud the attempt, but I manged to finish this in just over an hour and yes, that meant all the sto...

I really enjoyed Shinjuku Hearts and highly recommend it. It had me going back and exploring all the endings, it's absolutely beautifully drawn, must of taken them ages to draw. It is nice to see art that isn't AI generated which I am getting tired of seeing. I appreciated the details, the little nod and winks here and there, the little Easter eggs and stuff only Japanese locals or people who have lived in Japan would know. It's authentic and genuine. Not even talking about the adult scenes, the attention to detail in the drawings is truly off the charts, like the details in a building, a poster in a restaurant, a beef bowl etc. The writing is great, the way they build up the characters is excellent, they make all the characters so distinct and likeable and you can't help but vibe and connect with them, which makes the adult scenes that much better and more passionate. There is some humour too! The adult scenes are hot af and the story lines are straight out of the imagination of l...
