DAYS END

The entire game seems to be constructed almost entirely from pre-made assets (maps, UI, items, etc.), which isn’t inherently a bad thing. However, it feels like there’s minimal original effort or creativity added to make it stand out. The story lacks coherence, and the jumpscares feel dated, reminiscent of horror games from 2010. Normally, I’d be more forgiving, thinking, “It’s their first game, so it’s understandable,” but this developer has already released two other games of similarly low quality and effort, suggesting little progress or learning over time. I can’t recommend this game—it’s not worth the 3€, even at that price.

Edit: STILL BROKEN. I bought this game AGAIN, after seeing the dev's response to this review. They said they'd fix the controller issues. I also saw they provided an update to the game, though they did not provide specifics regarding what was actually patched. YOU STILL GET STUCK when trying to use the drag function with an Xbox One controller. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens MOST of the time. C'mon man, actually fix the issue and let me enjoy your game!! Days End seemed interesting, but I play almost all games with a controller. In the description to the right on the store page, it says Days End has partial controller support, BUT if you look at the creator's Key Features section, it says the game has FULL controller support. So I bought it. Trying to "drag" when asked to open drawers, etc using the X button on my Xbox One controller causes you to get stuck. The only way to unstick is to open the inventory.
