Fantastic remaster of amazing games. What started as a short nostalgia trip ended up as a great and long adventure. The remaster is very faithful to the original games down to all the glitches and tricks. I really loved the perfect precision of the tank controls and focus on exploration and puzzles. Definitely worth playing.

Let's be honest, these games needed a remake, not a remaster. They're feel like 20 years old and they're play like 20 years old games. I had a high hopes for this remaster because I've tried to play the original games but because of the clunky gameplay, terrible jumping system and not comfortable shooting system I just couldn't enjoy that. And even graphics for me was not a problem. But guess what? They only improved graphics in the game! Everything else stayed the same. Yes, they added an option "Modern control" or something like that. But you simply cannot complete some levels for a very long time because this still does not work. It still plays terribly for 2025! (For 2024 as well, the year it was released) I think this game is only for the people who used to play the original games on the release day. You can give it a try if you wanna break your nervouse system and have a mental breakdown. Good luck wit that. NEED A FULL REMAKE!
On the surface, Tomb Raider is a game packed full of; booby traps, beasts, temples, otherworldly creatures. Yet to its very core it is a journey of solitude and discovering the life in places where none else have ventured in a millennia. Playing Tomb Raider feels like you have packed your bags, bought some shotty hiking gear, and are off to explore that cave you've always wondered what was inside. Exploration is the name of this game and the very world beckons you to indulge. So many hidden alcoves seemingly out of reach but a few well placed jumps with set you right in place, and while I don't think we will ever see another new game with a control scheme quite like this game I would like to show praise for its unique feel and its precision (once mastered) really setting the older Tomb Raider games apart from the crowd. I played the game first in the remastered trilogy and it really improved the visual experience, adding even more beauty to already uniquely entrancing landscapes.
This remaster is everything! As someone that grew up on the first three games, (I got TR1 for my birthday in 1998, TR2 and TR3 followed soon after and I was hooked). It was great to revisit the game with remastered graphics while staying true to the layout of the original games. I wasn't really a fan of the Anniversary remake. I even got my Switch controller to mimic the original PSX controls and still retained the muscle memory from over 20 years ago. Already finished TR1, onto TR2 now.
A great remastered. All the old school jankiness but with a nice coat of paint
Very faithful remaster to the originals. Would recommend if you want a smoother experience playing them in 2025 on PC!
I GOOD CLASS GAME TO PLAY ALL
o
These games have a charm to them which cannot be recreated today, the mixture of puzzle solving, soundtrack, globe trotting and 90s camp make these games so special, add on top of these elements the best and original version of Lara Croft and you have an amazing set of games. My first experience with this series was through the remasters and I'm really thankful that I got to experience these. The games definitely got progressively harder, with TR3 having some questionable level design choices and the navigation for certain levels definitely requires you to use a guide as there would be no possible way to progress otherwise. For this, I feel certain levels are better on a replay. I didn't even bother with the tank controls, they are just not fun to use, as for the modern controls it was easy to get the hang of them. Revisiting the levels, collecting the achievements and discovering missed secrets added so much replay value. I liked Tomb Raider before, but this remastered series made m...
