Picked this game up for $1.25, i knew about the bad port but figured it try it out. Even for 1 dollar this game is unplayable. Tried to run the .exe as windows8/ME and launch as admin and still didnt fix the issue. I made the mistake of running the game on full screen the first time i played and on the first game freeze, even using alt cntrl del and ending the program didn't drop the game, just frozen on my screen forever. Had to restart PC. Great game! RIP PC PORT

Amazing game. HORRENDOUS port. I've owned this on PC for a decade and I've not once been able to go more than 10 minutes without crashing. Across several computers, several versions of Windows, several mod setups(or without any mods), this has always been worse than Arkham Knight on PC on release day. This will be most playable on X360. PS3 has worse performance, but it's at least stable, and gets you the Director's Cut content. Even the Switch version, as bad as it is, at least is still technically playable. This version is not. Even running those console versions on your PC will be a better experience.

(I'll give it a other chance and maybe change the review after if I get used to the yank. I genuinely want to see the story but damn these random QTEs and frustrating repetitions after a failure.) I would have loved to be able to appreciate this better but the gameplay and controls are just terrible and I guess I just don't have the patience. I was really enjoying some of the humor and the whole Twin Peaks vibe but I'll just watch a video about it than keep getting angry about obtuse bullshit. It's not even "dated", even older games played so much better.

The game is interesting, especially since it's in the mystery and detective genre, but it gets boring after a while, but overall I'm satisfied.

I've gotta say, the bugs and crashes of this game gives hell and hard to fix by mods, but totally worth the hardships!
