I want to start by saying the game is supper cute, love the look of it and enjoyed playing the bit I did. I liked the premise of using magic and running the Inn, also being able to craft things and decorate. It was everything I love in a game. The problem I kept having was with pizza disappearing when I needed it for a customer and Luka not cooking any more, so my customers would sit with nothing and I could do nothing to serve them. I think I will wait for a while to play until this game works all the bugs out. .

About the Game
Follow this step-by-step guide to craft a 5-star inn, the epitome of fantasy and magic.
5-star Service
Recruit top chefs, or hone your own skills and become one yourself! Forge ties with local farmers for quality ingredients and offer a delectable menu for your guests. A 5-star inn draws royalty and fame, so you must prepare the rarest of items. Build relationships with winemakers, trade with merchants, or search the corners of the world for rare gems. Impress even the King upon his arrival!
Pals with Ghosts?
Under the moonlight, the sight of pale ghosts may send most people running, but not you. Discover the secrets, master the spell to unlock a world of friendly ghosts. Serve and befriend these charming spirits, and in return, you’ll receive whimsical rewards beyond your imagination.
Cheat a little!
Friends are an innkeeper’s greatest asset! Making friends is simple: talk to guests, help them, serve well, or even give gifts. Each guest matters. Interact, learn, aim for personalized service, and build lasting relationships. Strong friendships help innkeepers gain resources and referrals from powerful contacts. Easy, right?
When the power of friendship may not be enough, there’s nothing wrong with taking a few shortcuts. A 5-star rating is determined by judges disguised as guests. Pay the local detective to reveal the judge's identity, or use money and favors to sway the judge. Keep it discreet: nobody needs to know!
Success!
Congratulations on achieving the 5-star rating! Success, wealth, friends in high places: you’ve done it all! But now, it’s time to uncover a tale of tragedy, redemption, and of course, magic. With abundant resources in hand and wand, you can shape this magical world. Enjoy the journey!
Key Features:
Embark on a journey about tragedy and redemption, all starting with a magical humble inn.
Manage the menus, staff, and rooms of your completely customizable inn.
Learn and harness magic spells in order to help with inn management.
Engage in conversation-driving card battles which simulate actions such as negotiation, persuasion, and attraction.
Build relationships with guests and members of the inn’s staff.
Collect magical creatures and items as you journey through this enchanted universe.

So... I'm giving this a thumbs up for now. It was a close call but I am enjoying what's here so far. Yes it needs some polish; The controls are stiff and need some help. Controller support is awful which makes playing it on the deck rough. The positioning for selecting items/talking to people/taking orders is really janky. The animation speed for some actions (Like waiting on your cook to make a pizza and place it down) are painfully slow.. but that's pretty much all I've got for negatives. All things that can be improved with time. Hopefully by the full release we'll have a wonderful game. Having played a ton of these Tavern/Inn/Bar Simulators I figured this would be just another one like it. It is and it isn't. The addition of magic really makes this something special. You still have the normal minigames. Fill the glass to the right level, press the button at the right time to make a salad, etc. The market is a bit different; there are different vendors depending on the day, most...
The game is very rough and needs work on its content and quest flow. Lots of easy quality of life changes that can be made everywhere, from how magic is handled to basic targeting. The biggest change that's necessary is that the game needs to explain itself better. It does not stress enough how vital advertisements are if you ever want to make progress. Establishing the right customers as your regulars is also make or break. Luckily the game is incredibly forgiving, so even if you're stuck without making any progress at all, at least you won't lose. Overall shows lots of promise, I hope to see development succeed.
a few bugs so far, but its in early access so its to be expected. other than that i really enjoy the game and curious to see how it progresses.
I enjoy whimsical cutesy games, figured I'd give it a go. At first it can be a bit tricky to figure out how to make the controls work, but once I got used to them I've had a great time. I really like that you can befriend other characters and learn recipes from them to use at the inn, and I LOVE being able to use magic and send ordered dishes flying to the tables
Love the game, it is a bit glitchy though. I have been having some issue with food not being able to put down and it appears i might be carrying something but i am not and i cant do anything. It would be nice to have a stuck option in the settings that will reset the character like other games
I am falling in love with this game. Sure it's in early access, and has some quirks, but it is charming, cozy, and it goes at whatever pace you would like it to. I had an issue with the story that is available and the developers looked into it immediately and got me a fix so I could continue to play. I can tell they really care about their game. I am excited to see where this game goes as it gets built up more.
Surprisingly Addictive and Constantly Improving I was a bit hesitant to purchase Magic Inn at first after reading some of the negative reviews. But the dev team seems extremely active. They push out patches almost every day, and players in the Discord confirmed that bugs are usually fixed as soon as they’re reported. That gave me the confidence to give it a shot. In conclusion, I ended up having a great time with it over the weekend. I’d personally recommend it, and here’s a breakdown of my experience: Gameplay: The game loop is surprisingly addictive. Things get pretty challenging (and chaotic!) once more than 20 customers show up, but the game introduces new mechanics gradually so you always have something fresh to explore. What really sets Magic Inn apart from other tavern sims I’ve played is how important your relationships with customers are. You don’t just serve them, instead you rely on them. Recipes, ingredients, crafting materials… everything comes thro...
It's a cute little tavern sim with plenty of customize-ability and magic. It's great for people with not a lot of time to play games because it auto saves after each "day" when your character sleeps. Rather enjoy it!
An inn management game that's just the right amount of micromanagement with growth goals and a story. It uses a card game to manage social/influence, which is currently not well explained but has a lot of promise. There's something charming about this that I keep firing it up for just one more game day. Yep, it's buggy, but the devs are active and responsive, bringing out fixes fairly quickly. It's fun to play, and I hope they keep developing it!
