Let it cook a year or two, after an hour or two you will be rerunning the same content over and over for hours on end looking for a snow area that's supposedly in the game but I got sick of running around the same map for 3 hours killing the exact same stuff seeing the exact same sights trying to find said area, Dark Souls does not hold your hand and has better direction of where to go than this game does, I'm not even sure how that's possible... Uninstalled out of pure frustration from running around for hours looking for content I'm not even sure is present in the current build.

The chilling horrors have arrived. Perpetual blizzards hide the snow-covered peaks behind an impenetrable veil, where the winds howl their deadly serenade to HER, awakening ancient horrors from their eternal slumber.
Permafrost is the second of several major VOIN updates. It brings long-planned additions to the game, many of which were shaped by your continuous feedback.

About the Game
In this shadowed world, secrets lie buried deep, and dangers wait in silence. Hordes rise against me, yet I cleave through them with elemental fury. I master the primal forces, bending chaos to my will. In this moment of convergence, I discover my true self, a being forged in both fury and beauty.
This is my dominion now.
I am the essence of ancient storms, summoned by a force beyond mortal comprehension. Born of the will of a faceless mage, I exist for one purpose alone: to become the weapon that reshapes a world ravaged by plague. My creators remain hidden, shrouded in mystery, yet I feel their command burn within me. This world is broken, and I am its reckoning. For I am VOIN.
Every strike I make is a hymn to destruction. My movements are a sacred dance within the heart of chaos. My blade sings as I sever through their ranks, executing perfect strikes, untouchable. I walk this path with purpose—will I remain unscathed?
The wind bends to my will. I leap across the ruins of once-grand castles with ease and soar above rivers raging far below. My fury rains down on them from the sky, leaving nothing but silence in my wake. I was never meant to crawl—I was born to be unbound and untethered.
I dive into the abyss, seeking the power that lies within. I claim weapons forged in the depths of darkness, gear that pulls me closer to my truest self. Yet this is only the beginning. I return to the Master’s Citadel, cleansing what I’ve gathered, sharpening the edge of my soul. And once more, I plunge back into the fray, unbroken, stronger than ever. This cycle defines me—the unyielding, ever-reborn.
They stand before me—titans of flesh and fury, living monuments to annihilation. Their eyes gleam with malice, their tactics ruthless. They believe they will break me. But I face them without fear. For I am no mere mortal standing in their shadow—I am the force destined to shatter their dominion. I walk among gods and monsters, and I do not tremble.
Gloriously Climbable.
That about sums up my feelings about this game. It's simply glorious. Maybe it's just me, but there's something about just scaling any and all massive structures that you can find across the levels that just feels great. Doubly so when you see a hidden chest there as a reward for your inquisitiveness. It's as if this game scratched the itch I didn't know I had. The gameplay loop, for now at least, is quite repetetive, yet never boring. It's a fast-paced slash'n'run bloodfest. You jump in, you slaughter, you grab items and ichor. Sky nodes spread across the map are your shortcuts through already explored parts of the map. You go back to base to upgrade your loot and restore yourself for the next run. But the fun is finding YOUR WAY of doing it. Do you hit hard but slow, or are you a "death by a thousand cuts" kind of guy? Do you prefer to have more hit points in case of mishaps during fights? Or maybe you bet on your reflexes to carry you ...
I vow to update this review post-early access. The game shows some promise especially on the combat front, but currently only about 20% of this game is combat, and the rest is just kind of bad and a waste of time. A deliberate waste of time, which I think is worse. VOIN at its core is a hack and slash. The combat is uniquely engaging for a game of this genre, and weapons often have unique mechanics that make them stand out (another anomaly for a hack and slash). It feels great to mow down hordes of enemies and see loot spew out of their guts. Instead of health being a "how long can you tank these guys?" -timer, it instead wards against a limited amount of mistakes. Make too many and you're dead. The issue with the combat is largely that it can't be challenging without also being annoying. No player can keep track of ten enemies at once, so the game gives you a short period of immunity from all attacks when you perfectly dodge one. This, however, makes it so when you're fighting aga...
Not a single review I saw tells you that you get oneshot by EVERY enemy small or large, projectile or melee. When you get one shot you respawn in your hub and have to run all the way back to the place you died and the farther you get the farther you have to run. All new mobs spawn in all the areas you cleared on your way through the first run as well. There is no block or parry only a dash that gives you iframes. The progression is very slow.
This game is awesome, best movement shooter without guns ever. Every weapon in this game is so cool, amazing graphics and environments, and a sick upgrade system. PLEASE ADD MORE CONTENT PLEASE
Good, but highly confusing in regards to actual progress. I think I'm going to wait a bit before playing more, but the time I did play I enjoyed.
The game is good but what ruins the fun for me is the death system that makes us lose all of our currency and tainted gear when we die. There are 2 ways to deal with this: 1 - Go back and forth to the hub whenever we get a new piece of gear or a considerable amount of currency due to the fear of losing gear (killing the fun of exploring in the process); 2 - Risk venturing further into the level and possibly lose all items that we got while exploring. In other words, the more we explore without backtracking to the hub, the greater the punishment. An idea that, in my opinion, conflicts with the concept of an open world game, where we shouldn't be punished for wanting to explore the game the way we want.
Not much to say besides that its a phenomenal game in all aspects. Most definitely reccomend.
Very fun, easy to play and get used to. just somethings that would be nice to have added, like co-op would go so hard. balanced game-play so far just wish there was a map because you can get off track easily. cant wait to see the new update!
This is a game that I wasn't sure about when I started playing, but then I got addicted to the exploration, combat, and finding secret treasures. It feels good to be able to change the game speed as you like, the game didn't click with me until I turned game speed up to 1.1x
