About This Game

This is NOT the latest version, please check out PSF 2025 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3013260/Pro_Strategy_Football_2025/)!

From a flexible installation package to a customizable ticker to wide open career play to a greatly improved AI, you asked for it, and you got it! And remember, with Steam's Remote Play Together, you can play your friends around the world! Playing against another person raises the intensity to a whole new level!

As always, the PSF goal is to put more power in your hands, and this year, that starts with the game installation. You choose where to install the game and mods! But that’s not all …

Career Play now supports 1 to 16 conferences, and 2 to 140 teams!

You can now change the game’s coaches at any time, even during the game! Easily switch between taking over either team or watching the AI play both teams, or even just let the AI finish the current possession, the current quarter, or the rest of the game! If you’re watching a game, you can decide to step in and take over either team (or both!)

The new studio ticker expands on last year’s popular PSF Studio and now provides updates around the league! And you can customize it however you want – change the background and text colors, change the possession marker, decide which games to include, even decide how often you want it to update!

A big request has been most flexibility in tweaking the injuries and fatigue, and you can now do this! Raise or lower fatigue or injuries (or turn them off completely), and even turn off multi-game injuries if you want to limit injuries to only the current game!

No more losing veterans when they are cut! They’re now placed in a waiver pool and can be drafted in a later draft or even a future year! To enhance this, career play now has two separate roster adjustments and a new Waiver Draft!

Also, viewing the different drafts (Rookies, Free Agents, and Waivers) is streamlined this year! You can easily switch between each pools so you can see what players are available in all the pools!

Live Sims now let you pause on any screen, rather than just the animation!

New stats have been added, too – track rushes, passes, and catches of 20+ and 40+ yards, and you can now track how many fourth downs a team tried to convert in a season!

Single Season play now lets you export all active players, with positions and OVR (will be added to career soon!)

The editor has improved this year as well, with a new three-quarter length option, easier Team screen, and improved generated player uniforms (animation images)! Modders have created many image sets with all sleeves options!

Continuing with improving the user experience, you can now easily search and filter when trying to locate a league or a player, great for editing leagues or viewing player history!

Expanded rules now has more options and MANY more historic sets! And more overtime options!

And most importantly of all, the AI has been greatly improved this year, whether it's choosing draft picks, calling plays, or managing the clock! Of course, I have never, and never will, have a cheating AI! If the AI is tough to beat, that's a testament to all the users who sent me their detailed suggestions with play by play examples, and to hours of work and testing to get the AI better and better!

I can't recommend this Football game There is no Playoff Bracket, the excitement of watching which teams might make it doesn't exist. There are no Team Rankings in the stats. The TV Mode makes no sense, you can only see the ticker of the other games being simulated if you are playing or watching a game. No financials in game. Player Overall Ratings are sketchy. Developer is trying to make everybody happy and listening to the wrong people. The Year to Year priority of updates is questionable. It's a simple football game with average 2D graphics. I will do Madden 24 CPU vs CPU Franchise or Football Mogul 24 (CPU vs CPU) or even Draft Day Football 24 (CPU vs CPU) with the new and improved 2D Presentation improvements. Front Office Football 9 is also now released! All have what this game doesn't!

In terms of US Football historical sims, this is the best of the best. '24 has cleaner and prettier visuals, a deeper stat package, deeper career options, and a refined historical engine. And a massive college mod to come!

Thought this game would be realistic. Far from it. Was looking for a game that is more towards being GM/coach that requires contracts, extensions, free agency. This game has nothing that resembles real world GM. Wish I could get my money back.

I didn't know this game until Steam suggest it to me as a strategy games player. Turns out I'm also a really big fan of american football too, and I was long time looking for a game with a deep coaching experience. Not anymore. I'm having fun while studying offensive and defensive formations, using the mod with the all-times NFL teams. Great work, can't recommend enough.

Not bad. Reminds me of a table top football game I played years ago. Ordered new updated teams every year from 1970 to 1981. Friends played seasons. Kept stats. Had play offs and super bowl. Still in the learning process here and just playing casual. Worth the money. Even had a "bad" officiating game. imho. Also had a game where I ran out of time at the opponents 1 yard line and lost. This game will definitely challenge your football IQ. UPDATE: A good solid game with so many options. wondering if there is a first year of NFL where you make your team the way it was when pro football first began and develop your team as the league grows from its first year.

After a gameplay and read more about custom leagues you still can't have more then the current league has. I can't give this game a good review yet. This is still not as good as the 2023 version. This is basically an upgrade not a new game. It has some new features but the new features are limited to me.

Fun game for tactics and football lovers. Many options and settings for an individual gaming experience - almost too many. I'm looking forward to all the mods for this version. The price tag probably scares off a lot of people, but I personally prefer to support a motivated solo dev rather than feed the big publishers. Also, as far as I know, there is no comparable football game.

This game is incredibly fun to play and you really get unlimited replay-ability on it. You can play as a league-level commissioner or you can manage one team. The best part is you can hop in & out of managing a team whenever you want. It is as sandbox as it comes. Customization is not only very in-depth, but it is very easy to do. Many mods already are out there for both fictional universes and real historical seasons! I personally recommend this game a whole lot. The next years version will have off-season league expansion which is going to be a next-level improvement. As much as PSF 2024 has lasted me for many hours of fun, PSF 2025 is going to be even better as Kerry does time & time again.

I recommend the game but with an Asterisk as I would give it a neutral 3 out of 5 stars. The ability to modify so many things coach, watch or sim is some of the best I have seen in awhile...but there are also huge holes. No trading, waiver wire pickups or salary caps. Although you can turn it off, some of your best players retire before 30.(I turned this feature off) Pros So very much to can tweak and modify. Nice to be able to Coach, sim or watch. Enjoy ability to Draft manually Cons No Salary Cap No Trades No Waiver pickups during season Injuries, fumbles, missed extra points/field goals not in line with percentages. I have enjoyed playing, but only when I have accepted the huge pieces missing. If it had Salary Cap, Trades and Waiver pickups during the season it would be an easy recommend. Lets hope they keep tweaking and improving.
