These individuals are known as Rulers of Nightmares

If a nightmare for some reason becomes unstable, the Absolute Judge takes action takes action through you, and this is where your adventure begin.

  • The Nightmare of Insatiable Knowledge: Inside a giant vertical bookcase, you will have to feed insatiable creatures by climbing through this bookcase in search of the most... delicious books. But be careful, there are other hungry creatures.
  • The Nightmare of Beauty: A sick and distorted nightmare, where the representation of perfect beauty through mannequins merges with what the media canons impose on us... evolving into a macabre attempt to find beauty... but what is the beauty? You will have to find out within the walls of crumbling laboratories.

Once you have completed your task you will be able to have an audience with the Great Monolith... some say it can make your nightmares come true.

Easily one of the weirdest games I’ve ever played. I finished it, but I’m pretty sure I only understood half of it. I actually enjoyed the little parkour and puzzle parts, and the monster design is really cool. I did have some graphic issues, but honestly they almost felt like they belonged in this bizarre world. One thing I didn’t like was the inventory. Scrolling through everything just to find what you need got old fast. Definitely not your usual horror experience… and that’s a good thing!

This game looks phenomenal. The map design is detailed and the creatures are grimy and grotesque. Unfortunately, everything else is disappointing. The animations, voice acting, sound design, mechanics and story are all lackluster, the inventory system is a mess, and the heavily-relied-upon jumpscares are excessively loud and out of place. I did only complete 1 of the 3 nightmares, but I'm not masochist, so that's all I was willing to endure. I could tell right out the gate what kind of horror game this was going to be, with the whispering in Latin, reverse-echoed exposition, and dull, looped creature animations, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Gotta admit though, they do an excellent job of hiding all the flaws in the trailers. That's probably why they're so short. Don't fall for it. TL;DR (repeating another accurate comment here) Looks good. Isn't.

This game would genuinely be better with no text or dialogue. I think the idea was to make an interesting horror game using body horror models, but no concept of how to tie them together in a way that makes an engaging game. The lore is immediately forced down your throat as soon as you load into the first area, all the animations look like free ones you'd find on a game asset site, and to top it off all of the voices sound AI generated. The ones that don't sound AI generated (this may also why the text sounds so corny) sounds like fucking Deku you can't even make this shit up. I spent about 15 minutes just getting a taste of the game, decided it had terrible writing and very strange achievements (they're just references to random horror films and have nothing to do with them??) then opened it a second time to just push thru the jank of a beginners first game, just to get soft-locked by the monster that's supposed to represent the creature from the Thing. If the dev of this game is ...

This game wasn't terribly scary, and seemed to rely heavily on jump-scares. The enemies are not hard, and deal insignificant damage to the point where it's possible to just run by them and tank the damage--essentially making them nonexistent/a threat. I collected the three discs in the three levels, but couldn't find where to use them-- so I just finished the game. Overall there's not a huge amount of content, and I was able to beat the entire thing pretty quickly, but the visuals and the idea of the game was pretty good. It felt unimportant to read any of the notes, but the story was pretty alright too. The art was pretty.

It looks great, but it needed more of a tutorial because I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do. And it didn't save often enough and I had to replay a lot of it, making it not fun. Here I am playing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgXsB8C8KY4

A great visual and gaming experience, also considering that it was all made by just one person! It's definitely not perfect, but again, for a game made just by one developer / artist, it's definitely a must-play for horror game lovers. The best part was definitely the creature design and overall atmosphere. The puzzles were fun but quite easy. Lovely experience, I will definitely play again!!!

The high points of this experience are the visuals and the audio. Unfortunately, it's lacking in other aspects. Too much text that exposes the lore, with not so great environmental storytelling; junky inventory (no separation between what are notes, consumables or key items); sometimes buggy and non-threatening enemies. The lenght of the game is perfect tho.
