M-m-m-m-m... Monke. Pretty short game (~8-9 hours), and with motion-sickness-inducing camera, but I liked it.

About This Game
150 years in the future, war and destruction have left the world in ruins with few humans remaining and nature having reclaimed the world. Mysterious slave ships harvest the dwindling population and take them out west, never to return.
Trip, a technologically savvy young woman has been imprisoned by a slave ship but manages to escape using her mental prowess. Monkey, a strong, brutish loner and fellow prisoner also gets free by virtue of his raw power and brawn. Trip quickly realizes that Monkey is her ticket to freedom and is her only hope to survive her perilous journey back home. She hacks a slave headband and fits it on Monkey, linking them together. If she dies, he dies and her journey has now become his. ENSLAVED centers on the complex relationship between the two main characters. Players take on the role of Monkey, utilizing a mix of combat, strategy and environmental traversal to ensure he and Trip survive the threats and obstacles that stand in the way of their freedom.

I played this game about 12ish years ago when I was about that old, I had gone over to my aunt and now uncles house and he had let me play it, I only had a few memories of it like the beginning level and the theater. Coming back to it I had to rely on google and hope that it could interpret my feverish descriptions. Needless to say, it worked and the game was about as good as I remember, plus with more detail! I loved the interactions you could have between Monke and Trip, which made the game play feel a bit more unique compared to modern games. The only issue that I had is how Trip would just stop in place and let the mechs come to her instead of having survival instincts. Overall a good game and I would rate it a 9.5/10. We need more games done in a similar fashion.
Still an excellent story game, even 15 years later. Ninja theory has always been ahead of their time, and this is no exception. While I like Senua's Sacrifice in theory, the gameplay of the first game suffered, and that is still a small issue here. Platforming is dynamic and functional, combat is fun and visceral but does get to be a bit too much of a button mash after a while, and the bosses are fun and strategic. Overall, the characters and world are very enjoyable and the graphics still looks great with fantastic and vibrant colors and world design. The ending still falls a little flat in my opinion, but otherwise this is a time capsule game worth playing for the first time, or replaying if you enjoy great characters and banter.

Short game, story is great. A bit date technically speaking. Played it on the SteamDeck mostly, runs great
Played after watching a Youtube channel recommend this was a hidden gem. Not really the case. It's intriguing at first and has some good moments, but is repetitive, doesn't hold up to today's gaming, and the relationship between Monkey and Trip doesn't pan out to anything. Ending was a let down. Kinda like a 6 out of 10. Not really worth it with all the other fun games out. It only took me 12 hours to finish so Not too much of a loss of time, but I got bored of it towards the end.
Good game and worth your time, but I actually enjoyed the DLC Piggsy’s Perfect 10 more than the main story. The DLC felt more tactical, while the main game started off that way in the first few chapters but then turned into mostly running and smashing enemies.
8/10.
