About This Game

Idle Industries is a project developed solely by me(Max Tarabbia). Its a factory building sim with several idle game mechanics including a prestige system and offline time resimulation. Start by using miners to get a good base of resources. From there the tutorial will guide you through using belts to transport resources and refineries. Refined materials will have a higher value and are necessary to construct more advanced buildings. After a few dozen hours you'll begin to approach 1 million credits which will then allow you to prestige and start again but this time resources are twice as valuable!

This game features completely original music, and approximately 5 hours of gameplay...but this is an idle game so its all depends on how its played.

Options include a few anti-aliasing options, Key maps for basic controls, volume sliders and unlockable skins!

This game is open source as well!

I like the idea of combining factorio and classic idle game structure but this unfortunatly doesn't succeed at it. The controls are weird, so I ended up placing things accidentally very often. Everything is very expensive so even during the first 5 mins of gameplay youre already waiting doing nothing just to save up enough resources to place things. The upgrades are very one dimensional, I feel like this is really where there was potential to turn this into an awesome game but simple percentage upgrades are a bit generic. Also the game feels rather hollow due to a lack of interesting sound design.

The game is actually a pretty interesting take on idle games. Basically a basic version of Factorio, with simple logistics and crafting. It is a bit rough around the edges, but it has great potential. I'd love to see a sequel of similar design be made with a bit more content. I'm going to be honest, the tutorial is pretty clunky. A lot of useful information is put in small text that proceeds without any user input, so you can just miss out on a crucial mechanic and not have any idea what to do. This led to me having to make a new save just to redo the tutorial. I'm also not really sure why the store page oversells the hours of gameplay the game has. 20+, dozens, etc. I played for 4 hours in a single session and ascended twice, getting all the achievements. So I didn't even need to idle in an idle game and I 100%'d it. I guess I'm just not sure what they expect you to do to fill in all those hours. I know I had a few nitpicks, but I honestly think it's a pretty interesting game, and ...

Its a good first level, but needs more depth. Not worth paying for yet.

The game was okay, but definitely felt much too small... For both an automation based game, AND for an idle game. If the dev takes the current premise, and scales it up to maybe 2-4 times the material options, then it would have better mileage.

Terrible controls and the colour scheme makes it difficult to make out what's what. Desperately needs a tutorial. Feels like a poor attempt to jump on the shapes/ factorio bandwagon
