This is a very particular and interesting survival horror. While the tracker mechanic might not be particularly original, the main task you are supposed to accomplish is surprisingly fresh and intriguing, and very well designed in my opinion. The monster is extremely efficient, it has incredibly keen senses, so you have to totally rely on stealth, caution and strategy. Once it spots you, you are dead, you can't outrun it, nor hide from it. This may not be everyone's cup of tea, personally I would have preferred something a bit different, but it's a design choice really, and I respect it. What really stands out in this game is the surreal dream-like atmosphere, further enriched by a very subtle but nice lovecraftian touch. This atmosphere, together with the genuinely terrifying aesthetic design of the monster, got me hooked from the very beginning, because I think I never saw anything precisely like this before. You have to play to understand. Overall this is undoubtedly a good game tha...

Pleasantly surprised this runs great on steamdeck. Cool game, need more places to hide though. As a big fan of alien isolation, I obviously really enjoy the concept.

Early Access aside, This is a pretty poor experience in it's current state. This feels like an asset flip at best with the Alien Isolation motion tracker, the obvious "backrooms" layout with the winding hallways and water room, and death animations (again ripped off from Alien Isolation). I don't know exactly what I'm being led to do, I don't know what is going on where I am, there is absolutely no context other than upgrade your tracker from the matching game puzzles on the walls and hide from the monster. The only good thing this game has going for it is the initial atmosphere it brings when starting until, then totally wears off the moment you realize all of these things I have mentioned above. Good concept from a gameplay standpoint but basically copying two different people's homework (Alien Isolation and Backrooms fan games) and dumping them into a game without any contextual progression of where I am, what am I even trying to do, what does Miasma even have to do with this game k...

Miasma is very reminiscent of the Backrooms and Alien: Isolation. A good premise only let down by an extremely hard to escape enemy, confusing objectives, and a lack of direction that borders between difficult and bad design. I did enjoy the enemy and tension, but found the overall feel of the game something I couldn't take any fun out off. I can recommend it if you are a fan of the Backrooms. If not, stay clear until some balancing patches are released. The game runs pretty well on Steam Deck. Although I believe that I have figured out what to do, I am unable to do it. What ever the enemy is called, you cannot escape it when it finds you. Even if you are crouched between walls and hiding some times it will glitch into the wall and still kill you. I also ran into an issue where the game seemed to glitch. In the room with grass, I was unable to leave because the enemy was basically camping the exit. Also there are times where the enemy can spawn really close to you and you die within a few seconds of starting the game. The game has the core game elements to make a great game, in horror/survival/suspense genre. There needs to be better ways to escape the enemy, perhaps some difficulty slider of some sort. Also just a list of objectives, you don't need like map markers and here follow the line on the floor to the goal. It simply needs a what are you going to do. Currently I cannot recommend this game, since it has not been updated in quite some time. If the developer patches...
