how the multiplayer is somehow worse than the old ports is ridiculous. the only reason I can see someone playing this over the other ports on steam is if you want actual controller support
I played the original both alone and with friends. I wouldn't play this with my enemies, or friends, or alone. Thank you for your time.
Majority of problems have been fixed. Multiplayer is low population but it does work. I have noticed only one bug in singleplayer, the minigun clone's weapon doesnt make sound. Games are essentially untouched but with 4K support. Other than that exactly as I remember, for better or worse. Recommended
the original is better, this is rather bloated
After finishing 100% of the achievements for the battlefront classic collection, would I recommend it? I got this being someone who was old enough to play the originals when they were new and being blown away with them as a kid, so nostalgia fuelled me to play this too. For me it just felt like the original ports that had been made to be fully compatible with current hard and software, with up-scaled graphics and more multiplayer support. However at launch there was there were several issues with the multiplayer and a few bugs with the offline modes too which put many people off. These issues are fixed for the most part however the multiplayer servers are mostly empty due to a lack of players. The gameplay loop itself is still the same as it was originally with multiple maps and gamemode types all based around star wars conflicts and the combat itself is rewarding albeit a bit clunky due to how the game looks and handles. There are multiple ways to arrange these gamemodes such as the...
This game really doesn't deserve the hate it gets. It's a remaster and that's all there is to it. Yes the mod support isn't there, if you want that then the originals are a better deal. If you want splitscreen and single player with easy Steam Deck support it's the Battlefront through and through. The size is a bit big, and it's sad that the multi-player is completely gone. But if you get it on sale and hate fiddling with games to get the most out of them then this is ok.
online deserted would be cool if it wasn't, game seems good to me, even if it did have a rough launch. come back guis
On launch this was a disaster. bought for the local split screen and it didn't work for a while due to a patch bug. It is great now and I recommend. Online is probably deserted but for what i need it is great.
Another game fixed shortly after launch, ruined by it's own community before that could happen because everyone requires perfection on day of launch for some reason even though those same people will defend an Early access game to the death.. We don't have multiplayer because we didn't deserve it. 8/10 would be a 10 if people weren't so self injurious.
