About This Game

My New Mini-Project

About the Game

There is a mysterious tower in this world that replicates all sorts of objects from other realities, creating an indefinite space full to the brim with monsters, strange creatures, people, and loot. You have found yourself in this reality, and now it’s your path.

Entering the tower, you find yourself in fierce battles that require valuable loot items - armor, magic rings, weapons, and much more. These are essential tools for developing your unique builds while clearing the tower's floors.

Defeat enemies and earn gold, which can be spent on new loot items. Continuously manage your loot to become stronger right in the battle by absorbing the mythical power of the items you discard - even if for a mere moment, but with dedication it’s enough to ascend to near godhood and kill whatever twisted creature stands in your way.

Use potions and tomes to boost your power, seek out reforged items for unique and enhanced gear, and banish excess loot to refresh the shop with better options. Make the most of every item and be ready for any enemy.

Combine loot strategically to craft dominating builds and become the ultimate power hunter. Balance between strengths and weaknesses to maximize your power to the fullest extent.

Key features:

  • 150+ unique loot items with many variations of characteristics that have a synergistic effect to create unique builds

  • 27+ stats like Toxicity, Strength, Wisdom, Faith, Recovery, and more, which can be combined with loot and keystones for a unique strategy and tactics

  • 10 characters with their abilities

  • Simple, addictive, and challenging gameplay

  • High replayability at any time

I wish I could recommend this game, I really do. When I bought it last year, I would have. But now... My complaint is the same as many other reviews: the developer ruins the game every time he updates it. This is a fully released game, yet every few months sweeping changes are made that completely overhaul the existing mechanics and the strategies players have learned. I defended the dev for several of these updates, but I just can't anymore. The fact is, the people saying "whatever you like about this game will be removed next update" aren't wrong. Gone are the loot drops, dismantling, even the skill tree was butchered and then removed completely. The only reason I've picked it back up at is to get the new achievements, but now I don't even want to do that. It just isn't fun anymore. Megaloot is unrecognizable as the game it once was, and the worst part is the dev just doesn't care. He claims he listens to community feedback but I couldn't tell you where he's getting that feedba...

I liked this when it first game out, but then it kept changing with additional stuff making builds more or less useless. I played a ton, but just not the same as it was.

Can't recommend, developer always changes how everything works and ruins the experience. The developer clearly has no clue what to do with the game and I am just tired of it. Stay away from this game, it will only frustrate you how dumb the developer is.

The game is excellent! I’ve been playing since the demo version. Back then, the game was very predictable and quite linear. Loot, its combinations, characters, and enemies were all one and the same. I finished it several times, found the optimal setups, and that was it—there was no point in trying anything else, because you knew it would be weaker, and you knew exactly which enemy would defeat you about 15 minutes into the run. The new changes are top-notch—there’s now more good randomness in item reforging, and every item can become indispensable or important at certain stages of the playthrough. I’m hyped about every set and item, because they can turn into a brand-new strategy. The information about what items and sets do is clear and all available in the tooltips, just like it always was. I’m endlessly grateful to the developer for not abandoning the game and making it what it is today. Thank you <3

It was fun when it came out and was kind of a wacky game you could figure out how to exploit and become overpowered. It had the charm that you get when you can become insanely powerful by finding exploits in the mechanics. It seemed like the developer loved this idea too and that was what the game was about. Seemingly difficult, but in fact there were ways to become super OP. I really liked that. However I picked the game up again recently and it's not fun anymore in key, core mechanical ways. The first way it's not fun anymore is I think the most important, is how shopping works. It used to be you could battle the whole floor and then do all your shopping at once at the end, saving your money for the rerolls. That way you can have fun battling, then just focus on the store gacha game. Now however, the store resets the price of re-rolling every single battle, and it gets too expensive to re-roll after maybe 3 or 4 rolls. That means you have to shop in the store every battle or you ...

When I first got the game I absolutely loved it and even went on to 100% all the achievements. Whenever achievements were added I would open the game back up to get them and see the new content, but the new content wasnt just a character but an entire rework of how the game operates. After seeing how much the core game itself has been altered over and over again the past year its incredibly hard to recommend to anyone. Very disappointed, feels like the developer wont just let the game be. Plus if you're an achievement hunter then I highly recommend ya steer clear of this game. Just got an update that now you have to hit floor 100 with every character when in the past it was floor 60 (which was already challenging). Feels like the developer will just keep making the number go up for no reason. Also every time you attempt to get the new achievements you will have to relearn an entirely new game.

If you have played Megaloot: Prelude don't expect this game to be the same. It feels completely different, i personally played it for a bit of time and i do not enjoy it... Unlike the Preludy version. It just got changed way too much. Nope for me.

I haven't reviewed a game on Steam in a while. If you asked me before I went back to this game, I'd have recommended it. Recently the game's specialization system has been gutted, replaced with activated abilities that you can do in place of an attack and item synergies. Even if this system were more enjoyable than the specialization trees--which it isn't for me, but to each their own--the fact that the developer gutted a core system of the game and replaced it post-launch makes me sick to my stomach.

I’ve been playing this game for a long time—ever since the test phase. Every time you do a major rework, I’ll usually run a few characters past floor 30 or 60 to check it out. With each update, I can really feel the effort you put into fixing mechanics, balancing, or adding new ideas. But sometimes those big changes end up removing the charm or fun from older versions, which is a bit of a shame. Honestly, every version has had its own unique flavor, and the content just keeps piling up. At the same time though, with more systems added, the game is also getting harder and harder. So here’s my suggestion: Maybe take an approach more like traditional online games, where old mechanics aren’t just overwritten. Instead, try to repackage them so they still exist (I get that this might be tough to do). For example, since the game is about “entering the tower,” you could add new towers—each one a different world with its own rules (basically like different versions). That way,...
