In Ark Nova, you will plan and design a modern, scientifically managed zoo. With the ultimate goal of owning the most successful zoological establishment, you will build enclosures, accommodate animals, and support conservation projects all over the world. Specialists and unique buildings will help you in achieving this goal.
At the heart of Ark Nova are 255 cards featuring animals, specialists, unique enclosures, and conservation projects, each with a particular ability. Use them to increase the appeal and scientific reputation of your zoo and to collect conservation points. Each player has a set of action cards, which you will use and upgrade to carry out your plans.
Each player has a set of five action cards to manage their gameplay, and the power of an action is determined by the slot the card currently occupies. The cards are:
BUILD: Allows you to build standard or special enclosures, kiosks, and pavilions.
ANIMALS: Allows you to accommodate animals in your zoo.
CARDS: Allows you to gain new zoo cards (animals, sponsors, and conservation project cards).
ASSOCIATION: Allows your association workers to carry out different tasks.
SPONSORS: Allows you to play a sponsor card in your zoo or to raise money.

The board game is fantastic, and this digital version is an excellent translation. The AI is crazy good tho, so unless you're a pro you can expect to get walloped by the computer on a regular basis.

Perfect port of one of the best board games out there. Having the computer do the math makes things flow much faster
It's funny how when you sit down and play the board game version - it feels deep and you have to think about your next moves and plan accordingly. You still must do that with the video game version but somehow it doesn't feel the same. The AI even on medium will absolutely crush your face and humiliate you on how little you know about Ark Nova! Nonetheless, this is a great way to learn the game and play it over the board
Great game
Good adaptation of the tabletop game. Quick and easy games with reasonable AI difficulties. The UI is a bit cluttered and takes some time to get used to, but otherwise enjoyable and intuitive game experience.
If you like Ark Nova and want to play it quickly I highly recommend. But careful the harder levels are frustrating.
A top eurogame gets an amazing digital version - interface is great, online works well with a decent number of players and it's relatively bug-free. Only lacks the Marine Words expansion and maybe a ranked option when the playerbase gets bigger.
Great board game adaptation. UI is slick, cards display whether you meet requiremens etc. Every game match is very different. And AI gives you a real challenge.
