About This Game

A true AAA experience at an indie price! Why pay extra for unfinished games, with broken code, and lack of optimization when you can get this experience right now at a significantly lower cost - meet GameDev Trash. The game of tomorrow that will show you where the gaming industry is really heading and what awaits you in the future!

The gameplay: Game Dev Trash is highly unconventional. Each level undergoes a genre shift, ranging from first-person shooter to third-person open-world RPG and even horror. Additionally, the game features two unique levels. At the end of each level, players will encounter a boss that represents a different game industry persona, from developer to game producer. All of this is wrapped in a slightly insane plot about the modern game developer and its secrets, narrated by an off-screen voice.
If you enjoy silly jokes and unique gameplay, then this game is perfect for you!

!!CAUTION!!
At the moment, there are 2 out of 5 planned levels in the game. The horror level is still under development, while the next two levels are only in the plans.

Favorite aggressive microtransactions and Day One DLCs - are just jokes. There is no aggressive microtransactions and Day One DLCs in game.

It's a pity there isn't a neutral review option on Steam, because this is exactly the situation where the game will only appeal to those willing to wait. The game is already quite interesting, at times funny, but it's still very raw! There are many bugs, many shortcomings, a tedious intro, yet it's still enjoyable! I genuinely had fun playing, even in its current state. I'll be eagerly awaiting future updates and hope the game won't be abandoned!

This Trash game features multiple genres rolled into one. The writing was pretty funny in spots and obviously text to speech in others. I do appreciate that there are voiceovers in the game. I only made it to the open world RPG part but I had a good time with what I played. The worst part of the game is that it doesn't even save your progress. Even after clickin' on the "save game" button it doesn't seem to save it. Now I'd have to play it from the tutorial level which is oof. To make matters worse ya can't even skip the beginning dialogue. Oops idea right there. Overall, I thought it was a decent experience. Game play here (soon): https://youtu.be/bhxapeiSvho

Cannot remap keys. Will not recommend. Try using WASD with a missing ring finger. I do have another finger which is appropriate, however. Is there at least a text config file I can edit? Probably not, it's Unreal Engine. Edit: <Major tech geek rant follows. Maybe the devs will read it and Give AF.> The game looked promising enough that I decided to use a program called Autohotkey that allows me to remap keys under the normal input driver. This works perfectly in scores of games where devs are too uncaring to allow key rebinding. However, for this game, it doesn't work. Looking at AHK's debug information, I see AHK is doing what it should. E.g. I have 'R' mapped to 'W'. When I look at the debug info, I see that AHK detects the 'R' and sends a 'W'. However, the game doesn't see that 'W' so I can't change the keys. The actual WASD keys are all you get. This is probably another case where Epic thinks they know more than anyone else, and that they're so great there's no reason t...
