Soulslike games are not normally my thing but the simple, straight forward mechanics makes this a good entry point for anyone wanting to learn the basics without the absolute rage inducing frustration that can be found in popular souls games and at a fraction of the price. The cartoon style graphics also makes this an appealing to kids while the variety of weapons allows the player to find their preferred fighting style. The randomly generated dungeons coupled with a timer adds to the pressure, making every choice a potential life or death decision that even a seasoned souls player can appreciate.
