A game with this few polygons has no right to be this slow. There is also nothing resembling instructions, even after reading the "official game guide" in the discussion I only get a vague idea of the mechanics (a "seige bonus" is mentioned exactly once without elaboration. It's apparently conditional but I have no idea on what.) The amount of damage units do to each other appears almost completely random. Some of the mechanics make sense (eg archers are more effective on larger targets), but I've seen some completely unintuitive outcomes as well (eg cavalry getting wiped by archers in melee). The gameplay loop is also lacking, you just click end turn until your army is a nice size, then attack by placing your units, then attacking the enemy ones that appear scattered through the map after you're done placing yours. None of this is really explained, but once you figure it out it gets boring fast. There are much better turn-based tactics games out there.

User Reviews
This game is very bare bones. It feels more like a demo than a $10 game. Here's a list of things that feel like oversights: 1. "Campaign" means linear levels, which would be okay if they were handcrafted to be uniquely difficult. Instead, each island looks practically the same, with only slight, imperceptible variations. 1.2. If we don't even get interesting battlefields, why can't we have some kind of grand strategy element? There is no economy management (unless you count getting a 5 coin paycheck per turn), nothing in terms of strategy except, "Go forward," and I don't even know what the "managing people" is supposed to be. 2. None of the factions have much which makes them stand out. It doesn't help that the only thing on the battlefield letting you know which faction you're fighting is skin tone (by its loosest definition). None of the factions have distinct units (legionares for the Romans, horse archers for the Huns, etc.), or maybe they do, but I couldn't tell because there'...
