About This Game

Enter the dreamlike world of Memoryland and relive your fondest memories. The only catch: there's no going back.

For those who've entered, they made the choice knowing this fact. But something went wrong. One inhabitant woke up in this strange world, not knowing how he got here.

You play as Cal, who finds himself trapped in this predicament. In search of a way to escape, he must explore Memoryland to retrace his own past. But it seems like there's a glitch in the simulation, turning the memories themselves hostile.

In Memoryland, you can:

- Collect cards and summon them in battle

- Build your character and deck to create powerful combos

- Explore moody and surreal environments

- Unravel the story of Cal and the characters he meets along the way

Glorified battle system tech demo. Character and monster visuals are great and the battle mechanics seem quite interesting, but there are only a handful of enemy types, basically no plot aside from a few lines of dialogue at the very start and very end, and the whole game takes place in a single empty shopping mall where you just slowly walk around picking fights with groups of enemies that aren't doing much except hanging out in random places. There's just... no real substance to the game at all.

It's more a demo than a full game... Few enemies, few cards,no story...just walking around and speak with a girl... Could be a nice game. But I don't like paying for a demo... If you want to know if people could be interested with your game...do a kickstarter and use this "prelude" as proof of concept.

I bought this game and leave a positive review to support and encourage the developper. As such, the game is very small and could do with more refinement. That said : Artistic Direction, illustrations , chara design, modeling, aesthetics (ui etc), sound too etc is top notch and I very much like the premise, environments and mood. It is clear that this dev has talent. Hence my encouragement to do more . More for Memoryland and more ambitious games

SPOILER ALERT? Kinda? First off, I didnt pay attention to the story, theres not really much of a story anyways from what I started to fast read and since the game is so short. i've beaten the game in 3 hours and killed every single person. This includes the shopkeeper and the girl at the end. The game is extremely short. With the right blessing from the RNG gods you could probably beat in less than 2 hours. Game has great potential and i'm hoping there will be either updates for this or a continuation of some sort. Every card/summon you see in the steam video for the preview is basically all of the cards in the game apart from maybe one or two. This goes for the enemies as well, every enemy you see is all you will see. Except for the "bosses" I would say that theres really only 1 boss but you can kill the shopkeeper and the girl at the end for an extra little twist. I will support the game for sure though. You can get to level 4 if you kill everyone but when you get to lvl 4 t...

Generally speaking I like this game, but there are some serious flaws. For starters the combat, while interesting, is wildly stacked against you leaving things feeling unbalanced. Enemies do a lot of damage, have a lot of HP, can inflict some nasty status effects, and most can one shot your summons. Most of the time, victory comes down to luck especially when there is more than one enemy. This issue is compound when it comes to final boss of the current game, the Workaholic. Who has a massive health pool, an attack that can destroy most of your deck's cards, and part way through the fight he can get three attacks in a row. But for some reason, prior to him going berserk, he can randomly attack twice making things difficult before the actual difficult part. To top it off with how long some of your skills to get off cooldown, such as your healing skill taking nine turns, this fight feels unfair in so many ways to prevent it from feeling like a challenge and more like sucker punch. Some...

Despite this game feeling like a tech demo I really enjoy what the developer made so far. I'd like the idea for the combat system and that you summon the cards to help you by your side, that was a really refreshing and interesting take. Despite how short the game is I found myself enjoying every minute, and even with the fights varying from very easy to almost feels impossible I did find myself trying to make new strategies to actually beat them. The game might not be worth it at full price as it is only about 2-3 hours long with only about 3 maps, and while there is multiple different endings. My only big grape I have is that the story here is absolutely nonexistent, and the reason why it is my biggest gripe is because the beginning did have me interested enough to figure out what's going on only to find out that it's as bare bones as it gets. If there is any feedback I would give in this game is that it desperately needs a deck loadout system where you can save and load diffe...

This game has genuinely found a way into my heart. I think there is something special here and I would love to see this be iterated on and or continued either through updates or a complete project. If you go in knowing that this project is more of a proof of concept then I think there is a lot of promise on display.
