Dark Legions is a cool concept that blends strategy with more action-oriented gameplay, and I probably would’ve loved it back when it was new for how different it felt from other titles of its time. Playing it now, though, it feels clunky and dated, and it just doesn’t hit the same level of fun or engagement as other fantasy PC games from the era. That said, I can see why it’s fondly remembered - nostalgia goes a long way, and for those who grew up with it, its unique mix of strategy and action still stands out.
