A very story-rich and wholesome game, I got hooked within the first hour. The overall gameplay is pleasant, and the graphics are great. However, the gameplay lacks variety, and the number of unlockable cooking machines feels limited given the length of the story. It gets a bit repetitive later on when I'm trying to read all the stories and get full achievements. Also, there's no mini-map to quickly switch between different lands, which makes rereading the story a bit inconvenient. But that's just me nitpicking. All in all, it's still a great game and definitely worth a try.
TL;DR
Phenomenal time management game that can be played in one of three difficulties from cozy to challenging. It is beautiful to look at and the level are well balanced.
Pros:

Overall look and feel

Great graphics
Good mix of story and gameplay
Nice calming music, that changes from location to location

Gameplay

Multiple control modes: Mouse only, M&K, Controller
Three difficulties ranging from cozy to actually challenging
New locations come with new obstacles
Levels within a location become progressively harder
Each location has even harder levels and all of them are optional but provide you a decent challenge on the hardest difficulty. Without perk upgrades they are most likely impossible (some of them at least)
The later locations keep the stress level on a healthy level straight up from the beginning
I did play a lot with mouse only due to an injury on my left hand. I love following the story of Pixel most of the time but some scenes could use more details since they left me questioning. The early game was pretty chill which made me try this game in the first place. However, in mid to late game it got way too chill (in a boring way) and pretty repetitive with normal difficulty. Late game felt like I had to push myself to finish the game to get achievements. I wished the NPCs would walk a bit faster. Thanks to their slow walking which took forever to arrive at a food station, my combo meter usually went down (I kinda disliked about that). I loved nightmare levels because that's when I felt like it was exciting. So, I would recommend switching to highest difficulty once you get to mid-late game. Other than that, I really enjoyed the game more than I expected and it was really worth the purchase.

I can’t believe I only discovered Pixel Café two years after its release. It’s such a fantastic game and I’ve been having an incredible amount of fun with it! For me, playing on medium difficulty, this is definitely not the “cozy game” that some YouTubers have described. The 6-minute waiter phases are intense, and you really can’t step away from the PC or let your mind wander, it keeps you fully engaged the whole time. The game is packed with content, including multiple endings and even more restaurants to discover after the credits roll. For completionists, the higher difficulties and bonus levels will definitely add an extra challenge. The story also hits surprisingly hard at times, dealing with emotional topics like the loss of grandparents, estrangement from family, and even bullying from childhood friends. If you’re sensitive to these themes, it’s something to be prepared for. All in all, Pixel Café is a brilliant game for the price, fast-paced, thoughtf...

this game is very fun an beautiful with a nice story. i love how fast you can cook and make things when you get good at the game but also the game gets very repetitive after the first world cause it's all the same kitchens just mixed around a little. the music and the pixel art are well.. art! i really enjoy it 6/10

I bought this game when it was in discount, so it's pretty worth it and cheap. Nice story, and yes, it is time management game so expect the same gameplay all over again. The first thing you want to do is to pick which one is better: gamepad, keyboard and mouse or mouse only for playing the game. I have collected all of the achievements and finished everything. Not much to do after that. I recommend to only buy the game when it is discount, not full price.

This is a "getting fired" simulator. I recommend playing on the hardest difficulty, then lower it during nightmare levels. The game is really fun, but during the late game it gets repetitive because the game stops introducing new mechanics, and just switches the current mechanics between the counters. The dishbreakers are cunts, and I don't want to see another sandwich for a while. Btw, it is easy to miss the true ending after finishing the last bar.
There is an abandoned building in the first area; interact with it to reach the final ending.
