hmm, didn't realize i had spent 86hrs on this game. + old-school Korean MMO vibe. + overall aesthetics. + infinite inventory. + casual difficulty. + puzzles. + snow biome. + farming. + Lumas. + the ending. - common quests are tedious and repetitive. - doors and ladders inside the house are Starfielded. - recipe ingredient info keeps rotating. - pet often outrun you. - skeleton musketeer ignores physics. - lags when another player is zoning or when they are in the snowy biome. - keymap indications do not change dynamically. - functional buildings are described as decorative. - the "Rocket" monument is disappointing. - It's Alive! achievement bug. - can't orient the character with the mouse cursor. - can't use shops and chests simultaneously in co-op. - can't split or manually input item amount. - can't keymap alternative. - can't keymap X (remove). - can't move buildings. - no shortcut for zooming in and out. - no speed buff for running.

I really love this game, but I didn't play for a while and now the Pirates update is here. Which leaves my old save on which I was achievement hunting, unplayable. I am allowed to keep my items from my old save. But I wasn't able to continue playing, it just restarted. Very disapointing

I dare to call it a *true* cozy farming and adventure sim. It never gets boring at the progression is easy and challenging enough to keep me entertained. I rarely play until my eyes hurt but this game got me hooked Reasons for why I find it super cozy: - No calendar, your crops won't die cause it's the next season - No nighttime-skip (24h, playing during the night is really relaxing too) - The mines are on one level, you don't get jumpscared or have harsh consequences on normal setting - There is no stamina, hunger or other stat for your character - Cooking is actually fun and not over complicated! - There are no relationships you have to take care of (might be changed in the future though)

I’m having a lot of fun so far. The career system reminds me a bit of fantasy life but the details are very different. Players who like fantasy life will probably also like this game. Otherwise good for players who like gathering and crafting gameplay. It has multiple difficulties which has been a lifesaver as I’m recovering from surgery and don’t have the headspace to worry about mobs all the time. I also don’t feel like I’m losing out on anything by playing the easiest difficulty

Well, I beat the game. Almost. I've got the final decision to lock in but I already know that I won't be continuing even before choosing an ending despite being right there. Here is why: For a game about Lumas, there are 18 and out of the 18 there are only 5 "types" of lumas from what I can tell. These types determine what a Luma can do to aid you. Every luma can detect buried treasure and do one other helper ability. So actually... there are only 5 lumas because most of them are just reskins + the same "creature ability". In other games with a creature focus, each one has some form of unique charm, be it movesets or practical uses in-game. In Luma Island you have "owl", "literal penguin", "unicorn", "gryphon", "crab", etc. These are not interesting enough for me. They do not evolve. They do not learn or adapt. You cannot customize them in any way. It's the least creative roster I have seen in these kinds of games, especially with Luma being in the title and a pretty big aspect of the...

The game has its charm but to me, it has more problems than appeal to keep playing in the long run. Visuals: The graphics and art style are fun for a game that is catered towards the cozy farming simulation. Some might call it childish but for a game that does not have any serious or in-depth themes in the game play and story line, the whimsical simplicity fits just fine. The colours in each biome are just enough to distinguish their differences in temperature and locations to not feel too repetitive. The downside to this is that nothing feels remarkable to the sight. Especially the NPCs. I could care less to look at the NPC sprites when speaking to them because nothing about them speaks of any unique personality. They look so typical of a person in their role that one might say they are the templates for their character design; A sailor - he wears the captain hat and uniform with a pair of shades to make him look "mysterious and definitely shady", pretty sure the pun is intended. ...

The game isn’t bad, but it really feels like early access. - Professions are absolutely useless beyond crafting 6 items per tier related to the job just to reach the quest item, then doing it all over again with materials from the next biome. So, no real crafting recipes to unlock. I figured I’d start as a blacksmith to upgrade my weapons/tools, but nope, you do all that on the village anvil. - No weapons other than a whip, nothing for ranged combat. Fighting is ONLY hit-and-run: you strike once, step back, strike again… and so on. No blocking or dodging. - The story is far from interesting, maybe with the exception of the pirate crew. Everything else I’ve seen is extremely classic. - No floor tiles to place on the ground, so your workshop and farm constantly get shrubs, bushes, plants, and fruits growing every morning. It looks VERY messy. - No house upgrades, though you can build a few cabins on your land. But your main home stays the same, and the paths to your cabins g...

This game has me addicted. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I have, but you always have something to do. 41 hours in and still feel like there's tons more I'd like to do/explore. I really like the job mechanic and the fact that you can unlock all the different jobs. Exploration feels super rewarding and there is no inventory cap/stamina bar, so you can literally just explore for days at a time. Even when this game isn't on sale, I would highly recommend it. It may be the coziest game I've played, and even though it's a 'farming sim' it is so different than any other farming sim I have ever played. I mean, I get to whip spiders and ghosts so... 11/10

Man this game is super fun and addicting that i just like to casually play, my only complaint is the day cycle literally has crashed my game and lost me a bunch of progress in dungeons which is kind of like the whole stardew valley mechanic where it only saves at your bed once a day. Minor complaint not enough to make me stop playing or anything but reaaaaallly wish these games just had a manual save mechanic. never understood why we have to act like this is 1995 and we cant add that. SAAAAAAVVVVVVESSSSS PLEASE lol but really is a fun game.

I can't recommend this game, based solely on how much of a shit, boring grind it is towards the end especially if you're trying to 100% it. It also does't help that performance tanked HARD the further into the game I got; by the end the music dropped so much I turned it off, and the game was lagging to the point the caves were not possible to navigate - meaning I haven't built all mega structures as I cannot get resources.
