Early Access Roadmap

About the Game

Typing meets horde survival in this fast-paced roguelite that challenges your speed, accuracy, and strategy. Step into a minimalist arena and dominate the battlefield using your typing skills and your trusty keyboard.

Not Your Ordinary Typing Test

Type the word above an enemy to finish them off. Challenge your focus and speed as bigger waves and wicked words try to slow you down and take you out.

These wily words also have a few tricks up their sleeves. Deterministic drones will simply edge closer towards you, but egregious enemies like Swarmers will fire their little bullets at you, while Shooters charge up to unleash hell on you.

Kit Out; Don’t Keysmash

Furiously fast fingers will never be enough! Upgrade your arsenal with unlockable weapons and loot that can help you make quick work of each wave of words.

Each build is uniquely yours. Set up your Oscillator and Sentry to take care of a large swathe of territory while you pick off the stragglers, or minmax your main weapon to evolve into an alphabet assassinator? The choice is yours!

(Hot)Swap your Strategies in Formidable Boss Fights

There are multiple trials for you to overcome, and a boss guarding the end of each trial. Defeating the trials unlock challenging Omens that make your enemies even more formidable. Can you out-type and outwit our orthographic overlords?

Control Freaks Rejoice!

Hate keyboards with a passion? Or are you just better with a controller? We have you covered with controller mode that works for any controller you might have, or even on the go with your Steam Deck!

Escalating Beats to Defeat Enemies to

Get into your flow state and provide your best typing performance under pressure, accompanied by pulsating techno beats to carry you to victory.

PLEASE!!! Add "Restart" button. That would be very good especially for the people who are playing in typing mode with slow WPM to "practice". When for every 1-2 min of game you have to press enter and menu arrows many times just to play 1-2 minutes again... and again.... that is at least annoying.

I genuinely wished I could give this game the full recommendation that it deserves, but the balance simply is not here. You're simply not going to possibly keep up with the "Poet" boss without some massive luck, either due to the fact enemies spawn way too frequently or because letters overlap so it's impossible to even see what you're supposed to be typing. Once you fall behind even for a second, it's pretty much game over. There are also "clearly better than other" weapons, so you're gonna end up choosing the same ones over and over again, making the game feel very repetitive. Then, you have the "luck" factor of getting the "rare" 30% upgrades instead of the "common" 10%. Again, it's a great concept and something I'm not going to refund but come back to later on - it's just extremely rough to play right now.

I didn't expect a ton from a typing game, and initially got this for my children to assist in developing their skills. That said, this is definitely worth it if you want a challenge for your typing ability. It plays like a 360 degree version of missile command and your weapons are operated completely by typing out words. You can get in and out of a game in under 10 minutes and the strategies you employ based on the randomness of build options makes it very replayable. 9/10 - Still in development so some weapons are not yet implemented - No 2k resolution (at least that I saw as an option). Alt+Enter ensures full-screen once the game starts.

I'm personally a typing fanatic. It's practically one of my hobbies at this point to practice typing and improve my typing speed. I'm even getting into Stenography, which is basically shorthand for typists. For individual words, my typing speed occasionally hits 200 WPM but tends to hover more around 130-140 when writing longer paragraphs or complex words. Even with all that, though, this game gets DIFFICULT. I think enjoyers of rhythm games, speedrunners, or enjoyers of games that require insanely fast response times etc. will really enjoy this game if they also happen to be fast typers. This game is practically impossible if you don't type fast, but I think that is okay. This game doesn't need to cater to the general public. It's literally a typing game, which is already a niche, as most people don't intentionally seek this type of thing out once they are past grade school or have a decent typing speed already. This game certainly is not for those learning the basics of touch typing...

It's a neat game with a cool concept, but I feel like it is being held back by it's own mechanics. For starters, the normal difficulty feels quite hard, with the boss spawning in too soon without having too many upgrades to deal with the regular enemies, it just overwhelms you with sheer numbers. So maybe you could decrease the number of enemies that spawn, or better yet, remove all enemies while the boss is on screen, since it should be the main enemy you will focus on anyway. I must concede, that I do not type very fast, maybe around 40 words per minute, but jumping from word to word really slows my typing speed down to like 10 words per minute because I have to read each word that is moving towards me. It doesn't help that sometimes the words overlap with each other, making it just impossible to tell what it is. Another issue I have is my upgrades killing the enemy I'm typing, which is frustrating cause my focus is lost and I have to refocus onto a new target, which is just mental...
