RNG is a killer. after 3 hours of mostly avoidable deaths i was finally getting somewhere, reached a higher level than before and made a lot more money than i ever had...even with the stupid deaths i was enjoying the game but then in a settlement after selling up some loot, a spikehump spawns paralyses me from range and kills me before i can even move.. please remove hostile spawns like this in a npc settlement. or at least add guards. dying to unexpected spawn is a fun killer. cant be arsed to play a game thats just going to drop that on players at any given moment

In a realm where gods have perished, a new era of strife has dawned. Seize power, forge legendary artifacts, conquer the world, and ascend to the divine throne in Soulash 2!
Immerse yourself in an innovative blend of sandbox, roleplaying, and traditional roguelike genres. Conquer an expansive fantasy world, embark on daring expeditions to challenge formidable beings, craft extraordinary artifacts, amass a fortune as a merchant or thief, feed the starving population as a farmer, or construct a monumental pyramid amidst the desert sands.
Conquer the World
Each world in Soulash 2 is procedurally generated, complete with a simulated history. Generate unique settlements shaped by trade routes, character lifecycles, resource extraction, food consumption, occupations, wages, and the triumphs and tragedies of war - all before you etch your own legacy into their annals.
Forge Your Destiny
While conquest and destruction lie at the heart of the game, your fate remains unwritten. Soulash 2's skill-based progression system empowers you to unlock new abilities and actions through diverse activities, paving the way for unique possibilities. Embrace your inner explorer, artisan, architect, pyromancer, warrior, or forge your own path by combining different skills.
Master the Art of Crafting
Soulash 2's innovative crafting system lets you create items with your chosen resources. Recipes feature slots of different types that can be fitted with unique magical ingredients, bestowing items with unparalleled properties that amplify character customization.
Build Your Legacy
Elevate your dominion with an array of diverse structures: construct a humble hut nestled within a verdant forest, erect a majestic temple to garner adoration, command from a mighty castle atop rolling hills, raise an ice-encrusted tower amidst the frosty tundra, or unleash your sinister influence through a foreboding black pyramid in a sun-scorched desert. Bring families to your settlement to work in your fields and shops, gather resources, and craft products. Start your own family to pass your legacy to your descendants!
Embrace Mortality - Or Defy It
Select from three distinct modes to suit your playstyle:
High Fantasy Mode: You suffer penalties upon death but resurrect in the nearest friendly location. This mode is for those who prefer the world to revolve around them.
Dark Fantasy Mode: Experience true loss as death erases your character but leaves the world and your creations intact. You can continue to influence the world as a new character.
Hardcore Mode: Face the unforgiving roguelike experience with permadeath that annihilates your character and the world - no meta progression, no mercy.
Start your adventures in the procedural worlds of Soulash 2 now!

I love this game. It feels like Dwarf Fortress and Kenshi. Playing a character who can die at any moment when adventuring while trying to carve out my legacy is a lot of fun. Even if my character dies before I can have a family, I can still start another character in the same world. This rogue-like sandbox is really dope. I just now finally figured out how to make a settlement and invite people to it. They bring their whole families. I went on an epic quest for a diamond and crafted a metal bra for a female dwarf I was trying to marry. I came back to present her with the findings and when she got to my settlement I found out she had low fertility......So now I have to stay at my settlement more often then not till she starts baking an heir for me. I heard you can play as one of your children if you pass but I don't know yet if they have to make it to adult hood before you kick the bucket in order for you to take over playing as them. I now run a tavern at my settlement and will probabl...
It's just not that fun. The whole gameplay loop is going to tiny maps and fighting randos.
Hello, wokie here. I love the veiled unity in this weird ass community. I don't care to hear from a "side" that tolerates and supports hatred and bigotry. The disingenuous stance of "I have to support the dev for standing up against love and tolerance" is an insane take in 2025. Aside from the embarrassing dev team and community, the game lacks so much content and even context. You start as nothing, how I like, but there's nothing to grow to. Your interactions with NPCs are like talking to a wall. You can hire them or ask about where something or someone is, but that is it. The player and NPC tokens for your player model are a sad downgrade from the first game's sprites. When you travel on the map you feel like you're going from barren wasteland to a barren wastland with a hill and some trees. Maybe owl people. Spend your money else where on Caves of Qud, Dwarf Fortress, Doors of Thrithius, etc. Many games do this same formula much better and with way more content.
I initially found this game and thought the concept was cool. I decided to buy it, and found that the reality of its gameplay loop was rather bland and unintuitive. I decided to give it another chance the next day and started looking through the reviews and news pages only to find out that the creator likened people criticizing his decision to not include same-sex marriage in his game to nazism. A baffling discovery to say the least. Art is not required to represent every single group in existence. However, it is one thing to make art that happens to not include, and another to willfully exclude under the guise of a supposed cabal seeking to "corrupt" your art. I cannot in good faith give this game another chance nor can I recommend supporting a dev such as this.
Even without all the polish, the things you can do in this game give you a freedom to be anything from a simple farmer to a god. Highly recommend
Kinda slow at first, but once you get going you really start to get going. I'll admit, I play this heavily modded because I hated the limited potential thing. But that's mostly because I like grinding my character into OP territory. Haven't touched anything legacy related nor settlement building yet, Got lost in the grind and exploration
Game is awesome, a lot of builds and awesome interactions between skill trees. Every fighting skill tree has skill modifiers which make every run unique. You may become pyromancer spearman and set enemy on fire with very thrust, take bonus from athletics and make your fireball knock enemy back or just go full tank with thorns so every time someone attacks you he gets 10x more damage. If you don't wnat to fight you may become a farmer, make settlement, have kids, die because of old age and play as your kid, become necromancer and ressurect your parent to follow you into the world. Game is how i like roguelikes to be, skills are unbalanced and so are my enemies. Often you die just because you went too greedy and enemy surprised you with skill you didn't expect. Game lacks wiki so there is no other way around to not die than die a lot and learn your enemy. Right now there is still no polish in few places but bugs are rare and updates are there pretty often, It's still early access but ve...
