The short: Story - 9 Audio - 10 Visuals - 9 Mood - Creepy AF The long: The game wove an interesting story where you are trying to piece everything together from strategic notes and clues left around. As you progress you are constantly assaulted by spirits and sounds that will make you quake in your chair in a dark room with a headset on. There were not many cheap jump scares because what the game excels at more is keeping the player tensed throughout the story just waiting for something to happen. When it does for the most part you don't see it coming, which just increases your tension all the more. Walk-through/My experience https://youtube.com/live/w3lHXvQSzdM?feature=share

There's no SAVE! You guys that made this should know that if you have to keep starting from the beginning of the saved part, people are going to get tired of this. Roaming around that house on my third try with doors that won't open for me to get to the next level is a P.I.T.A. If this game is linear and you have to touch all of the notes, that gets old too. If you could save, at least you can pick up where you left off. Good graphics, bad play-ability.
Hello! After finishing this game over on my twitch I wanted to give a review here aswell for the developer and any potential customers! Graphics: 9/10 Personally the graphics are impressive in this game and the overall atmosphere feels great. Story: 7/10 Your mainly getting the story from the intro, then reading notes and then spirits talking to you. This feels overall fine however would've been nice if maybe the notes were also voice acted to build the atmosphere more. Gameplay: 5~6/10 Overall this game is a walking simulation with intractability with objects. Also I was questioning why some objects you can click on to zoom and spin around when this never has any impact to the story like hidden messages on the back of objects or hidden codes etc. There were many times where I was confused on where I was going or was standing where I thought I needed to go next and it wouldn't let me and I had to backtrack etc. This was a annoying element to the game pretty much the whole way throug...
Fun little game. Finished the whole thing in at least an hour or so. Looks good and you can tell a lot of passion was put into this.
Presences Dark Awakening is an excellent indie horror title about exploring a nightmare dimension. While I don't want to give away too much for this title I want to say as indie horror game goes I can't recommend this enough. This game has you exploring a underground complex under an abandoned house and the terrifying nightmares that await both below and above ground as you explore this horrifying dimension. Core gameplay has you exploring, solving simple puzzles and experiencing what the game does best, it's breathtaking visuals (it looks SO good) and it's jaw dropping scares that are incredibly cleverly done and draw you into the world. I can't really stress enough how well structured and immersive the exploring paced with scares is, it's some of the best out there in the genre. Presences is well worth the asking price and I highly recommend playing it.
https://youtu.be/ua52jCJ4hzs https://rumble.com/v2ypm22-presences-dark-awakening-horror-game-part-1.html So I've played the demo of this game and I can say that there are improvements in the final build, especially on the performance's side. This game seems interesting overall, the graphics are nice, it's atmospheric, the sounds could've been a little louder and with a bigger bang during jump-scares. Also you could notice the jump-scares coming 2-3 seconds before it happens, which takes a bit from the scariness. The game's story is about an archaeological dig site, over which a house was built and the owners started to notice strange things happening.
Played on Linux using Proton Experimental, First thing i noticed was no settings option on the Menu, Once in the Game pressing keyboard key "P" brings up some more options with settings option, but once i clicked on that all i could do was Volume Control, On my Intel I7 6700, Geforce RTX 3060 12GB and 16GB Ram i was getting V-Synced 60FPS but in place drops to 40FPS, but the game still felt smooth. Second thing i Noticed was the game did not have much sound going on, but i think that's intentional, so when a Sound FX does play it will either be unsettling or make you jump, Graphics are pretty good, Game play wise it's really just a walking sim, Read Letters, Interact with some Objects, No looking for Keys or Codes, just walk around till something activates like a door opening, etc. But i must say that this is one of the Best Horror Games i have played, a bit short at around 80 to 90 minutes, but the atmosphere, the ghost orbs, things going on, the way the Sound works to add to the at...
**MUST PLAY ADV HORROR GAME!!** I thought for a "one guy show" he did freakin' awesome!! It's a must try TRUST ME, if you like adventure games with a freaky horror twist, this is your game!! Thanks Cozy Marsh, keep up the good work! I'll be looking out for more games like this!
This was a cool experience to play through. It took me about 90 minutes start to finish. Spooky first person adventure with some navigation, mostly an atmospheric experience. I thought the audio was really well done and lots of little touches of moving objects and lighting.
Pretty cool little game. Feels like the PG version of what the game could actually be - the scares seemed to have their gloves on the whole time. Still, for a debut game from a solo developer - wow! I am impressed with the craftsmanship and feel of the game. In particular, the sound staging was excellent. Playing with headphones on, I kept feeling like there were creaking and thumping noises in my room all around me. I am excited to see what this developed comes out with next!
