About This Game

An epic tale of fantasy, adventure and… fishing?

When the heroes of Azerim mysteriously vanish, an evil force threatens to take over the lands! Baelin the fisherman NPC must rise up to defend the town of Honeywood the only way he knows how! However, something's different... Baelin's no longer an NPC but... an Adventurer! Can you handle your new found responsibility?! Battle fish with precision timing and magic spells, upgrade your abilities, defeat evil and rebuild Honeywood.

Morning! Nice day for fishing ain’t it!

Engage in fearless fishing battles to fulfil quests, increase your strength and unlock spells to use against your aquatic adversaries. Equip the right bait for your catch, and time your attacks perfectly to ensure flawless victory. Be wary of the boss fish looming in the deep, who will truly test your skills.

Explore the enchanting lands of Azerim above land and beneath the waves. Adventure through Honeywood forest to the Azerim coast where you'll encounter new quests, people to save and new fish to catch. Navigate the pull of the underwater currents to move your hook into hard to reach caves and upgrade your fishing line to delve deeper into the abyss.

Every Adventurer deserves the ultimate tools for their quest. Although Baelin may be a humble fisherman, as an Adventurer his rod is his weapon, his boat is his steed and his hat is his armor, so make sure you've equipped the right one for the job! Effortlessly dredge hidden treasures from the deep with the magnet hook, or break through cavern walls with the powerful drill to unlock new pathways. Enhance your fishing rod to increase your strength and upgrade your lines to go further into the depths to target the formidable and challenging fish that swim in the shadows.

While on your adventures, you’ll find valuable resources to dredge from shipwrecks that have succumbed to the sea, which can be used to rebuild the destroyed village. Enlist help from the Woodcutter to bring Honeywood back to its former glory. Each building upgrade unlocks more equipment and quests from the merchants.

Prove yourself worthy to the mighty fishing God by offering completed collections from each region at his statue, and receive your blessings of upgraded skills.

Took me about 18hrs, but I was dumb and made it harder on myself than it needed to be. I didn't use items as often as I should have. They really help! Overall, it's a pretty decent fishing game and pretty good as a licensed tie-in game. The fishing mechanics are interesting and intuitive. It's pretty easy to play and they do a good job of telling you what to do next without completely holding your hand. I hope more indie creators make little games like this. I have a few complaints, though. It drags on a bit, especially toward the end, and especially if you try to complete all of the mayor's sidequests. The last one of which requires you to gather three late game items that only spawn once every few minutes. You have to sit there twiddling your thumbs waiting for it to respawn. Also, for a project based on a bunch of actor's, I would have expected more voice acting. It's not necessary for every game, clearly, but it really seemed off-brand in this instance. They only have a couple re...

The humor is decent, and there's nothing wrong with the gameplay, but there is just a massive amount of fetch questing and uninteresting backtracking.

I'm sorry, I wanted to like this. It is repetitive and tedious. I get that that's the joke but it's a joke that is long overstays it's welcome and made me realize that Viva la Dirt League aren't very funny.

Well the videos and everything looked cool, but the game gets boring very quick. the first minutes were promising. fishing mechaninc is nice but is missing depth. i was eager to explore and rebuild the city but you are guided very strictly through the game and i just find myself going left, right, left, right and did fetch quest after fetch quest. at first i thought its a joke because of the youtube videos but its all i did so far. here is an example fot a mission: go right. find the woodcutter. woodcutter needs axe go left talk to townsfolk. go further left talk to someone else go right to catch 4 fish. go left again to finish quest. go right to catch axe. oh no, axe missing handle. go right talk to townsfolk go left to catch 3 fish. go right again talk to townsfolk. go left talk to townsfolk do the same (not) funny quest the 4th time go left talk to townsfolk go right talk to woodcutter go right talk to wizard go back left to talk to townsfolk i think you get it. if you expect ...

The stupid, unnecessary, poorly designed, aggravating tree-top platforming is some of the worst level design I have ever encountered. If I'm going to do a bunch of fetch quests for half the game, at least make it enjoyable.

A really weak, boring, and repetitive game — which is a shame, because I've been following their channel for years and really enjoy their videos. They had so much potential, considering all the other characters and stories, but they chose to make a mediocre game instead. Really disappointing...

I bought this game partially because of the % positive reviews. I think that game is mediocre and the positive reviews come from fans of the youtube channel or something. The game just keeps sending you from left to right, back and forth with little autonomy. Move a few steps in the wrong direction and an NPC will tell you to go the other way, at least in the beginning of the game. The plot of being an NPC turned player character is not developed beyond you keeping the voicelines from when he was an NPC. It could have been interesting. Instead, the writing is supposed to be funny, but 99/100 dialogues are boring and skippable. The game does not respect your time with all the walking back and forth and the awful amount of times that hammer needs to be fished from the well. It's not funny guys, not even the first time. Only buy this game if you like the youtube channel as a way of supporting them. Buy something else if you want a fun game.

This game is so much fun. Great laughs, Great game mechanics. It's completely addicting right from the start. It's a huge breath of fresh air compared to $80 AAA slop titles. It's a fun little game that doesn't take itself too seriously. Just chill and have a fun 'mornin fishing.
