I've enjoyed it so much so far! I am determined to complete a run! Extremely cool game. I played it for an evening and I haven't played all the stages yet. I got it just after this summer update. The costumes are awesome! An optional filter for scan lines to make it look even more retro would be sweet. Also when you jump in with Asura she salutes and it LOOKS like she speaks, but she says nothing. Its a small detail, but she screams when she gets hit, and it'd be cool if there was even just a little voice line at the start when she jumps in. Other than that, its great! I can definitely see myself using this as a time filler, just a quick game between things, and also having regular, longer sessions. I'm not familiar the other games this has been compared/is paying homage to, but I like retro games and this game seems like an instant classic for me. A new favourite in my steam library for sure! <3

User Reviews
A fun, little indie game that feels like it would fit in well with the arcades back in the 90's. Of course I suck at it too. I need more quarters, mom.
Fun game, shoutout to the devs for making it. Reminded me of the old arcade games i used to play in also the ost is so catchy. Hope there's more coming Asura soon!
very fun, i love the art style but it really struggles with screen readability
I am happy this game exists.
Just excellent all round. Deservess its EXA release. I can imagine how great this'll be at the arcades. Hope the devs make more games.
If you're a fan of games like Space Harrier and Night Striker you should check this out it's peak
A solid arcade game, with good difficulty curve. The first few levels are easy, then it ramps up. Simple controls, a lot of levels, and a nice but kinda janky punch mechanic. Between this and Mirage Feathers, I hope we get more Space Harrier/After Burner rail shooters. The dev is also clearly a SEGA/Taito fan (most of the levels are references to other games, such as the Night Striker level).
Very good Space Harrier-like game and the devs are always looking for ways to make the game even better
