An absolute classic for a reason, even more than 20 years later System Shock 2 never fails to invoke emotions such as terror and joy throughout the entire game. Flawed in some areas but the experience as a whole is one that every gamer should take part in.

i love bioshock and i love this game, id argue its better than prey in a lot of ways. its an oldie and so it wont be for everyone but if you're a hardcore looking glass fan then id give it a go. clunky controls and low poly textures. just my jam
This sci-fi First-Person dungeon crawler is still an absolute thrill-ride and one of the best games of the late 1990s. The presentation is still phenomenal, all these years later. The sound effects and ambient music are simply incredible; some of the best I have heard in any video game. However, I do think the techno-rave OST is horribly out of place in this game and recommend setting it to 30-40% volume for the best experience. The lighting is excellent, and combined with the audio design, they create one of the most immersive atmospheres ever. Maybe it’s just me, but I still think the graphics hold up, at least anything that isn’t a humanoid model. The story is thoroughly engrossing, although the writing relies on technobabble all too often. The gameplay is excellent and has considerable depth. There is an excellent selection of weaponry, all with varying stats, identities, and minimum skill requirements (MSRs). There are alternate ammo types, every non-melee weapon has 2 modes...
