About This Game

You play Adam Jensen, an ex-SWAT specialist who's been handpicked to oversee the defensive needs of one of America's most experimental biotechnology firms. Your job is to safeguard company secrets, but when a black ops team breaks in and kills the very scientists you were hired to protect, everything you thought you knew about your job changes.

Key Features:

  • A divided near-future: discover a time of great technological advancement, but also a time of chaos and conspiracy. Mechanical augmentations of the human body have divided society between those who can afford them, and those who can’t. Opposing forces conspire from the shadow to control the destiny of mankind: a human revolution is coming.
  • A perfect mix of action and role-play: the game uniquely combines action-packed close-quarters takedowns with intense shooting, offering a vast array of character augmentations and upgrades for the many weapons at your disposal. Unlock new abilities and increase your stealth, social, hacking or combat skills: the game rewards all styles of play and approaches. Determine how you want your character to evolve, based on how you want to play the game.
  • Choices and consequences: shoot your way through the enemies, sneak up behind them without being traced, hack systems to retrieve crucial information, or use your social skills to extract information from key characters – there are always choices, multiple approaches, multiple paths and multiple tools at your disposal. Choose your playing style and face the consequences of your actions: you decide how the story unfolds in his enhanced storyline featuring the full integration of "The Missing Link" and "Tongs Mission". Operating System – Windows 11 x64 As of now, it seems Windows 11 is not very reliable for running this game. Many users have reported bugs on the new system. Here are the issues I’ve encountered after 200+ hours of gameplay, and I still haven’t finished the game: 🧨 The most critical issue: When enemies are knocked out or killed, their ragdoll corpses may start flying around with completely broken coordinates. After inspecting memory, I discovered the problem originates near DXHRDC.exe+F94E8 (89 8E 80 00 00 00 8B 4C), which seems to handle enemy position updates. In some cases, the corpse receives a NaN coordinate, which tanks the frame rate to nearly unplayable levels. In other cases, the corpse just clips into the floor without going full NaN—but even then, the frame rate drops from 240 to 4 FPS, and any quest item attached to that body becomes unlootable. (Semi-playable at best; things return to normal after changing zones.) This bug only triggers when the corpse’s pos...

I first played Deus Ex: Human Revolution a year or two after it came out on a trip home to my parent's house. My father, an avid gamer, often picked up new and interesting titles. I'd load up Steam on my dad's computer and take my pick. Deus Ex was my holiday entertainment on a few of those brief visits. I never made it out of Detroit, but I knew I would be back. Gloomy dystopian Detroit is the perfect pathetic fallacy for the grief stricken protagonist, having lost a major part of himself, literally and figuratively. I found the first few hours of the game enthralling, whether I was comforting the grieving mother of Jensen's beloved ex-partner, or taking out the trash in Derelict Row. The dialogue and characters are well-written and Jensen is a sympathetic main character. The stealth mechanics are great, and the game rewards each style of play equally. The modifications provide players with the ability to negotiate the environment in different ways and ensure replayability. ...

My favorite games in the series although Deus Ex 2000 is generally the best. Story and gameplay are fantastic and can run on modern hardware without any problems

This game hits the spot if you're looking for a light immersive sim style game with stealth and action elements. Despite the games age, the gameplay and overall looks hold up. I do wish they didn't just throw the DLC in the middle of the story. It feels jarring with how they did that narrative wise. Good story, fun gunplay/gameplay. Not my favorite, but worth the time and money!

Good game, little bit of laggy hiccup here and there but it was worth it.

Great and misunderstood game. A lot of effort got put into this game and it really shows. The art direction, the music, the writing. The only issue with this game is that simply it is so radically different from the games that came before that it simply will not live up to its legacy, but really doesn't need to. This game is a cult classic product at this point but I still highly recommend playing this game and to really look around, marvel at the time and effort they put into this product.
