Enjoyed the demo of this from the Haunted PS1 Flip Side Frights Demo Disc, and getting to play an expanded version of that was as enjoyable as I anticipated. This game is all about platforming at the speed of sound. Though your first run is likely going to be slow as you comb for secrets. One thing that seems to have been added since the demo is the upgrade system. While it does give you a better reason to collect artifacts, designing the gold speed running medal around having all of them was an odd choice. Like Frogun, the speed running times are incredibly tight. And as someone who likes to 100% the games they play, I find that incredibly frustrating. I don't mind the times being there to challenge people who enjoy speed running, but it takes the wind out of your sails when you figure something out that cuts time, only to be told you weren't even close to unlocking the game's secrets. As is, it pushes players to just look up videos of how other people do it and copy them rather ...

So far fun, difficult and once you get the patterns down you start to find it gets easier for getting near the end of the level to complete. I'm doing the one life one retry level runs and it's been a blast so far.

by far the most unsatisfied speedrun game CON: Fully cycle based trap, 0 skill invovled You have to unlock abilites to do time attack, and you have to find hidden item in each level to get full abilites Inconsistent slidehop mechanic due to bad physics and map design, you can slide down but losing speed depends on nothing

Very cool first person platformer. It reminds me of Neon White in that each level rewards both exploration and speedy play. The point of games like these is obviously to beat each level as fast as you can, but finding every collectible in any given level will reward you with permanent upgrades to your character's moveset. Doing this is far from tedious thankfully, since the levels all have creative layouts and fantastic art direction. Even if the time score aspect doesn't appeal to you, i think this game is worth experiencing for the gameplay & atmosphere alone.

Very fun game. A bit short but you can prolong by doing achievements. Definitely worth the money. Interior gives old quake vibes

Such a fun platformer, with cool aesthetics. The difficulty spike on the last level is pretty brutal, but incredibly satisfying and well constructed.

Overall, I liked it, but I don't think the levels aside from the last level were really designed with the double jump and dash in mind. You can use them to cheese a ton of stuff and they remove the challenge. The last level was pretty bad in my opinion, as you pretty much have to take everything slowly in order to win if you have the life difficulty. It's more of a speedy game with some obstacle-course sections in the levels, so seeing the final level be mostly obstacles and no speed was lame (alongside the unskippable 30 second snake section that you have to keep replaying and make sure not to fall off in). I didn't think the ending was all that good, but that could just be me. Overall a 6.5/10 game. Mostly fun. I felt like the lives system could really have been replaced for something more fun for the game, like a enemy that constantly chased you (like pizza tower). Otherwise it feels like it's trying to be a rage game for some reason, and it doesn't have a fun difficulty hook to...

It's good. Given the art style I think a pixelated shader would have brought it all together.
