the most horrible game i have ever played, not only the game mechanics suck ass the enemies are stupidly op making it so if your not on guard all the time half your health will be gone in one strike and you will be ganged up on every enemy on screen

The game is quite good. I hated that the REAL ending is behind a "Rogue Like" game inside. It took me 20 hours to unlock both endings in HARD. Now, in order to see the REAL ending I need to play that part of the game, for another 30 hours just to see the ending. That, I hated it, because I never liked the Rogue like type of games. It feels like a cheap excuse to make the game longer. Because, it makes you replay the same levels 200 times, until you get to the end. I wish they wouldn't have put the real ending behind that. So, for that, it gets a 6/10. Especially since, the "Rogue Like" feels more like a "Survivor", more than "Rogue like". EDIT: Completed it 100%, and now I have to give this game one extra point, because the Rogue Like part made sense an it was a torture. So, 7/10.

Oyunun hikaye modu güzel. Ortamlar güzel. Ana düşmanlar güzel. Yetenekler ve geliştirmeler güzel. "Buy Me A Drink" çiziminin her yerde çıkması canımı sıktı. Şimdi sırada rogue tarzı modunda. Berbat bir mod. Hiçbir yeni özellik ve yetenek eklemeden önünüze sunuyorlar. Aynı ortamlar, aynı düşmanlar -ki rogue tarzı modundaki hikayeye göre mantığı var- sadece oyunu zorlaştırıp önünüze sunuyor. Modun sonu da hiç tatmin edici değil kısaca berbat.

Fun game. I hated the controls at first, but after getting used to it, it became fun. It's a challenging game, and I like that. I miss games like these.

As of August 27th 2025, Anomaly Agent is a mix of many different styles with an old school pixel design. Overall it's pretty good and well crafted. Got it when it was on sales for like 3 or 4€, don't know if I'd pay full price though

The story mode is fantastic - combat is fun, soundtrack is banging, levels are short and there are frequent checkpoints and HP restoration so you never feel stuck. Then there's the Rogue Agent mode where there are no checkpoints at all, and you need to get through 40 floors without running out of lives, or you go back to the very beginning (HP isn't restored between levels, either). Oh and you start without any upgrades from the story mode. There are permanent upgrades at certain floors, *but* after you get a few of them, they stop becoming available at that floor. I gave up after 10th floor stopped giving permanent upgrades, only ever reached floor 15 or so. It was also strange how sometimes you'd get just a few melee grunts in a wave, and other times several fast-shooting elite ones instead - seemed way too dependent on luck. So that was a frustrating experience - but still, game was worth playing for story mode alone.

A quick linear game without those suffocating bonfire saves. The game didn’t have time to get boring since I wasn’t grinding in a rogue-like mode with 40 floors - though I’m sure there are fans of that too

"Cyberpunk" is being tossed around rather haphazardly here. It's not really cyberpunk. It's more "80's anime". You're not really doing anything "cyberpunk" unless punching and kicking men is somehow techno-dystopian to you. Pretty fun, though.

Pretty good beat-them-up. I like the flow of it with the guns and parries and dodges.
