About This Game

DuckTales: Remastered is a beautiful hand-crafted reimagining of one of the most cherished 8-bit titles of all time. Go back to one of the golden ages of gaming, now refined with a level of detail that will please the most hardened devoted Disney or retro Capcom fan alike.

Featuring hand-drawn animated sprites, authentic Disney character voices talent and richly painted level backgrounds from the classic cartoon TV series, Scrooge McDuck and family come to life like never before. The gameplay retains the authenticity of its 8-bit predecessor; simple and fun, with slight modifications to improve gameplay flow and design.

Embark on an authentic DuckTales adventure, as Scrooge McDuck and his three nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie travel to exotic locations throughout the world in their quest to retrieve the five Legendary Treasures.

Cute game. Graphics look nice in this remastered version. Keyboard controls are meh, this game would be much more enjoyable played on a controller. Just a simple game, don't have to think too hard, and a surprisingly challenging difficulty mode as well. Great game you can play with one hand (have a fractured arm so left hand-playable games are nice these days).

Para todos los que crecimos con las pato aventuras y la epoca de NES, este es un juego que hay que tener! Las nuevas animaciones y la remasterizacion musical son de otro nivel!

I remember wanting this game as a child but then forgetting about it and never getting it. Here I am 13 years later, just finished this game and I feel extremely disappointed. I love the DuckTales series, saw the trailer of the game and thought it looked alright (especially since it was on sale for $3.99) but man this is one of those times where I've been extremely wrong. For context, I'm very familiar with platformers (having played all the mainline 2D & 3D mario games, all the mainline 2D & 3D sonic games, DKC 1-3, DKC returns, DKC TF, DKC B, Celeste, Hollow knight, etc.) but man did this game disappoint. The moveset was meh but felt worse because of the lack of power-ups. Only 7 levels is insanely short (even for a remaster of an NES game) and the boring level variety only exacerbated the issue. The artstyle could have been way better had they approached it from a different angle (not make it the weird 3D graphics). The level design was mediocre at its best and downright atrocious ...

Just finished the game on Extreme and got all the achievements! So, I think I've got enough experience now to give a good review. The graphics are great, the music is great, the voice acting is great, the controls are great! However, I still think the original on NES is better. The cutscenes are really what sucks about this game. Yes, you can skip the cutscenes but you have to pause the game and go to skip cutscene every time. The cutscenes are so often, it interrupts the flow of the game and are unnecessary. The ability to take shortcuts like in the original has been completely removed from this game which is another big flaw. You are forced to go through every inch of each level, even if you've beaten it 100 times. So there are definitely some flaws. But overall, it gets a thumbs up. It's still a great game, I just prefer the original.

Its called "Remastered" when really its a remake - and its so solid and diverse that there probably doesn't need to be another Ducktales game made ever again (but god knows someone will be aping the pogo mechanic until the sun explodes).

I played DuckTales Remastered, and as the name suggests, it’s a faithful remake of the NES classic with updated visuals and a few new touches. It captures the spirit of the 90s show while keeping the same gameplay fans remember. What I loved: --Faithful recreation of the original NES game with updated graphics. --Visuals are simple but charming, perfectly capturing the show’s vibe. --Classic NES gameplay remains intact—fun, responsive, and still enjoyable. --Difficulty is balanced: challenging enough without being frustrating. --The addition of a map adds a nice Metroidvania-like touch (though it’s removed in higher difficulties). --Boss fights mirror the originals but with some fresh twists. What I didn’t love: --Characters talk too much, interrupting gameplay with frequent cutscenes. --Some rearranged tracks don’t live up to the iconic NES soundtrack. --Very short... you can beat it in about 3 hours. --Feels like a missed opportunity; being just a remaster...
