Great game, great devs. I had a bug where the UI wasn't showing I unlocked a challenge. I went to discord posted on bug reporting and also the general chat. Luckily Rosie was on there and totally fixed it for me. The devs also listened and added breaking which is fantastic. I do hope that they will add more rogue-like features like upgrades and stuff cause right now it's just losing/gaining lives.

Despite the early access, this game hooked me up for good! Love descenders! The races could be more "human" to achieve the rainbow medal. I wish they would increase a bit the time :) Other than that the game feels so good to be played! Bravo!!! Super quick dev responding to an issue causing my biomes to be locked. They got it fixed for me. What else to say... just play this game :D

Definitely a work an progress, but an excellent work in progress nonetheless! A well executed sequel to Descenders.

Big fan of this studio and what they created with the original Descenders. Seriously enjoying D Next now. It's important to know these lean slightly more towards realism and high speed versus "power ups/special abilities" type sports games. Put it in First Person cam on a nice curved monitor and plummet down the mountain, very exhilarating.

Best snowborading game since SSX. Ive been looking for a good snowboarding game for years. It has nothing to do mechanically with ssx. But its snowboard and the mechanics, the controls are extremely good, completely different than anything ive experienced, and extremely fun once you understand them. Riders republic is cheap trash compared to this. Only thing I would like is longer tracks.

I've been playing the game on game pass for 4 days the past two weeks, but got it on steam as well because I wanted to support the devs some more. Overall, already a really solid game. Looking forward to what the devs will do with it the coming year. It's more of a simulator than an arcade game, but the way the overarching mechanics link everything together makes it a pretty cohesive experience. You pick from Snowboarding or Mountainboarding, and you currently get two biome maps for each of those, the second of which is significantly more difficult. You have to do runs from key points on the map, and survive those runs to bank progress, get rep and creds to spend in stores (also nodes on the map), and there's 3 basic level types: race, park & stunt. Once you get far enough in a biome, there's a boss-run which apparently (I've been told) is more similar to the original Descenders in gameplay structure. I've played A LOT of snowboarding games, so i went into this game hoping for a fun snowboarding / mountainboarding game. Unfortunately, descenders next is a full reskin that feels far worse than the original Descenders (which is fun and has physics that make sense). I hope the game can improve from this point on, but it's not in a great feeling place. ---Physics---- Snowboarding feels the exact same as the MTB but even more cumbersome. Super heavy, drifty, and almost uncontrollable which lead me to riding down the mountain in a straight line. I avoided jumps and rails often because tricking didn't feel rewarding or fun. There is no grip, yet when you land off a jump the board can suddenly grip hard and shoot you off the trail. In addition to that, mountainboarding feels even worse (everything above, but even more sluggish and buggy). Mountainboards and Snowboards aren't nearly as heavy or cumbersome as an MTB, so they shouldn't feel like one. They should feel like an extension ...
