The gameplay is fun, fluid, and very enjoyable. Making the right decision, whether it’s creating the right unit or choosing which enemy to attack, feels rewarding, and even the most basic choices end up being crucial. It’s a simple system, but one that requires strategy and attention, which makes the experience even better for fans of the genre. Visually, the game also delivers. The design of the characters and units is very well done and fits perfectly with the game’s concept. The difficulty is right on point: challenging but fair. In addition, the option to choose the difficulty makes the game accessible both to casual players and to those who really enjoy a good challenge. Overall, it’s a great game that succeeds in what it sets out to do, offering a strategy experience that is both fun and challenging in just the right measure.

As a Fan of advance wars this was a very cool game to play. Sure its launch and the fact we had to wait for this game felt like quite a long time, but in its current 1.4 state I would recommend even if it still doesn't have Hot seat or Local (single system) play yet. So far my only dislike is that i cant play with my family on a single device which i hope comes in at a later date hopefully before it launches on consoles and I think that its a must have to at the very least have hot seat local play. Other then that the game is fantastic and i do know its still getting features add in to help make it a solid game. Again just hope that Hot seat or Local (single system) play will be a thing for this game as I think it needs it.

I have a lot to say, but if you're reading reviews right now, my shorthand is a 9/10, positive review. Warside as it currently exists in version 1.4 has delivered more hours of enjoyment for me than dollars in the price tag, and is overall an enjoyable title that I imagine pretty much all forms of Advance Wars fans would be interested in. Not perfect, but certainly a good game. I've played every Advance Wars game, Advance Wars by Web, nearly every Fire Emblem title, Triangle Strategy, Wargroove 1&2, and Athena Crisis. A decent resume of tactics games. I'm going to yap about lots of aspects of the game and my experience, so if you want to read up on Warside because you haven't bought it yet, I hope this review serves you well. It's probably way too long. But I love this genre, so buckle up! Warside finds itself at home within the tactics genre no problem. I began playing Warside just a week after version 1.4 was launched. I had heard of the bad reviews when this game launched, a...

Strictly worse than any advance wars game. Just play a ROM of that. This game has the worst level balance I've ever seen in a video game of this price range.
